Tried Sharkies for the first time, nice change from the Gel. They seemed to be quiet effective.

First run after Creemore last night and I was #%&%#$ determined to find the biggest hill in the neighborhood and run up as fast as I could. I think I found something close to CVC's "O2" hill.... Garmin reported a 50m rise between 7.4K and 7.6K... no rope assist either! I was motivated to do this...

It sure was tough but was it ever fun! I got a big kick out of the signs, from 2.5K to 3.5K there was a 60m climb followed by a half k or so downhill then there was a sign "Hill 1"..... what was that 60m thing I just struggled up! Another good one was the sign at around 23k "Valley". Thought I had i...

I am in for the 6 Hour Solo. This will be the "long one" , if all goes according to plan it will be my introduction to the Ultra. I have been building up to this for a few years now. Now I am familiar with the idea of flat coke at the aid stations. Has anyone tried flat beer, the kind without alcoho...

23.66K +/-492m LSD, love the Garmin! What a difference in the weather compared to a week ago! Last LSD was 24C with a blazing Sun , today it 3C and Cloudy with a brisk N NW Wind! The contrast in conditions got me thinking about the perfect running conditions. 10C Sun, no wind + Running Pants, Techni...

Escaped winter for a week! Did a 12K on Myrtle Beach this afternoon. Easy pace 5:24 , feeling the effects of driving for 20 hours!

Trail running in Grey County in January...weird!

Yesterday I did my 16.4K trail run, usually this time of year they are under a meter of snow but the ususually warm weather melted most of it away! 3K of the route was on a Snowmobile trail.

It was just great to be out runnning like this in January but I cant wait for spring.
