Congrats on getting it done on such a tough weekend! It was crazy hot and that early in the season especially, makes it hard!

I ran that race once in 2011 and at that time, people turned at the 10K mark that were supposed to be running the full...so clearly, this is an ongoing problem. It's hard to compare to a race like Boston which would consist of mostly experienced marathons and for many people would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sort of true except there's a lot of charity runners who are not experienced at Boston, that also start at the hottest part of the day. I know...

Not running Ottawa but am running Sulphur and the weather forecast not looking to favourable

I totally agree...rain is one thing but when you throw in cold/wind it becomes very difficult to race in. Congrats on getting it done and a great time all the same (Nice AG placement too )

Congratulations, was so happy for you when I got home and looked up your result...you killed it. Was a hard day for racing with that wind and you still did awesome....Such a huge accomplishment!! Well done.
