Re: Sweet Saturday!

Taking the day off. No work whatsoever. Sitting in front of computer with blank look on my face. Work, moving and life are making me insane. Today will be some sort of combination of running, yoga and walking. TBD. Whatever keeps me away from my blackberry. :) I sense some serious garage sale prep p...

Re: Thursday - Day After Yesterday's Tomorrow Earthquake

Spinning this morning, and heading out for a nice long walk (which will end at the wine store) to clear some of the cobwebs. My productivity meter is running past the empty mark... time to recharge the batteries.

Here's to a day without any natural disasters!

Re: Roarin to Go Sunday

I suspect I'll be using this update a few Sunday's until the end of next month... working, then running, then packing.

If anyone has a fast forward button, I'll trade you two cats, a used George Foreman grill and the world's smallest wine rack for it. Oh, the joys of moving. :)

Re: Hello Monday!

Good luck Holly! I also had a crappy run today- I don't usually run the day after a long run, but since we only went 17 and I felt good, and this week is kinda busy, I figured I'd be totally fine to run home today. The first 4km were great, but then I totally overheated- it was 27 plus humidex and ...

5 k fever

I have a hankering to do a 5k. Actually... I kind of want to do 2 5 k's. And just to make it a bit more difficult... I'm looking for two 5 k's at opposite ends of the country - June or July near Mississauga, and August in Vancouver.

Suggestions?

Unexpected fun day... found a place to live on the Wet Coast in record time, so now I have a day to myself (that I refuse to fill with work!). Going for a quick run this morning, and then off to the North Shore for breakfast and adventure with my brother. Holly - maybe we'll run into you at the bike...

Re: Mississauga Marathon 2010

I don't think you need to worry, Andy. It sounds like it comes at a time when you're nicely warmed up and still fresh. I'm just psyching myself up for it to be worse than it is. Go in expecting the ATB hill at 10K and you'll probably barely notice it! A quick check on gmaps pedometer show the eleva...

Re: Mississauga Mary 5/10 K

We were trying to figure out how the finish line would work! I've done the 1/2 new course a few times now, and each time have ended at the library parking lot. Not to be a naysayer, because the 1/2 new course is pretty fabulous (because it totally avoids the trails), but I have NO idea where they ar...

Tempo run and yoga tonight, which will be a reward for a long day of sitting and writing. Well, the cupcakes I plan on baking on a writing break may be the reward... but there will be running too. :)

I'm not racing this morning, but we are doing a course trial for our upcoming race... and I'm doing my fair share of shaking my fist at the sky.

This is why we do dry runs, right? Ironic.

Good luck this morning to everyone!!!

I'm taking a pass on all planned workouts today. You heard me - my beloved Saturday abs and spin? None of that. Was an emotionally long week, and my attempt to go out for a slow recovery run last night ended up in running 10 minutes, and walking the rest of the way home. An off week two weeks before...
