Re: A First Pair of Trail Shoes

I pointed Spaff to this. Weird because I have had no issue with my CL2.0's. The 1.0's yes, but the 2.0's have been great for me. Just coming in a little late on the discussion here as I don't get on RM as much as I"d like these days. RE: Crosslite 2.0. We have 5 combined pairs of the 2.0s in o...

Re: A discussion on Puking

Here is a tip on race nutrition from IrunFar - Race Nutrition with Kilian Jornet Yes, interesting reading....Not sure if it's a 'tip' on race nutrition or just what works for him considering some of the types of races and paces that he runs. Judging from many of the top ultra runners who commented ...

Re: A discussion on Puking

So if you have ever read my blog / postings you might be aware that I am having a issue this year with projectile vomiting in 100 mile races. I know from my own race observations that I am not alone in this. Last year this was not an issue at all so its been an interesting learning experience. I se...

Re: Puma Trail Shoes

I still go with the La Sportiva Crosslites for all things very muddy and very snowy as the sole is the best on the market for these conditions. Yup. Thinking of getting some Hobnails this year to add just a little more traction. Now the question Crosslites 1.0 or 2.0? Hobnail Crosslite/Crossover GT...

The main difference is in the upper of the Quantum being a bit lighter than the Electron....

+5C is not ideal snowshoe running weather. Snow sticks on your snowshoes. -10C is peeeerfect! :)

Re: Dion Running and Hiking Snowshoes

I am super excited about snoeshoing this winter. I have hiking snowshoes and this summer during Running Free's sale I ordered their running snoeshoes (Atlas ones - MEC sells them too) for this winter. They are a Christmas present so I won't get to use them for awhile but I'm excited. I'm going to d...

My daughter got a pair of snowshoes for Christmas a few years ago and has never used them. I've often thought of 'stealing' them but I'm not sure if they are for running or not  How does one tell?? I have never tried running in snowshoes, but always wanted to...advice for a "starter pair"? There’s really no such thing as a starter pair. The prices for running snowshoes really don’t vary that much. Running snowshoes have a very long life too. I still run in the first pair of Dions th...

Re: Puma Trail Shoes

Tried on Trailfox once and were extremely narrow and seem like they would be too soft on technical trails. One of my coaching clients also tried the Trailfox with his orthotics and found that they weren't deep enough for the orthotic. Of course, that could have been due to the type of orthotic he we...
