Retiring? Not from racing? Runners never retire... maybe they take a season or two off from competition... but baring major injury they always come back! Myself, I took this year off from racing track (800m, 1500m) to focus instead on running ultras. Still, masters track racing is such a blast that ...

Too bad... would have enjoyed the company driving down. I want to get in pretty early on Thu, so I can try to rest up before the race. Maybe we can ride together another time. I was just looking into races in Oct and came across the Le Grizz Ultra (50 miles) around the Hungry Horse Reservoir (just o...

I'm running the 100 mile race. The race starts Fri morning, so I'll have to head down Thu morning. Let me know if you want to carpool.

By the way, I absolutely agree that the early packet-pickup on Thu was a complete fiasco. Complete chaos. Before I left the house, I checked my bag and discovered that there was no timing stick. I saw several people who had stuff missing. The pickup on Friday at the Rec Centre seemed to go much more...

KTheTurtle - no I don't think it was your friend who left me in the dust. It was a much younger guy. If they ever post the official finishing times on the CDR website, I think it was the guy who ended up finishing in 7th place, about 15 minutes ahead of me (they bumped me down to 8th). I just checke...

Hey thanks Klewlis! I just came across the site. S7 - I don't know if we know each other, but I probably ran into you at some races this year. I ran - FatAss50 (Edmonton) - FrozenAss50 (Calgary) - Blackfoot 100k - Death race (solo - 125k) and will be trying the LS100mile in (oh so few) days from now...

Hey S5, I guess I'll see you in Lethbridge - I'll be running Lost Souls as well (100mile). A gang from Edmonton are going up to run the Skyline 2 weeks after the LostSouls. If I'm recovered enough, I'm going to go up with them.
