Oh, I agree w/that too... just wasn't feeling agreeable on the participating part! And why not, may we ask? Don't you care about those poor children, Susan? I'd say it's practically your duty to run through Yorkville in your "small clothes" (as they say out East)! LG PS/ Those urchins better apprec...

 Didn't think you were serious, BG1... By the way, I think it is more than acceptable for all male participants in this event to stuff a sock down the front of their Speedo!! It's -9C today with windchill, so unless they make windSpeedos, this will represent a significant risk to the go...

I'm of the opinion that Speedo (tm) can be used interchangeably with speedo (skimpy swim outfit). They aren't going to turn anyone away from making a fool of themselves and donating to charity for wont of a brand label. That would be like showing up for a race sponsored by Nike and getting tossed f...

I used Hal Higdon's Novice Schedule since it only called for 4 runs a week, and that is my maximum. In fact, even then, I find it hard on my body, so I tended to alternate weeks of 3 and 4 runs. I did no strength training and no speedwork at all, and my longest training run had been 32km, and only o...

Cheryl, since you are so close to your marathon you might want to go see your doctor immediately and have him/her look at it. If it's nothing then no harm done. If it is something, then you haven't wasted a couple of days of treatment. Good advice. Healing vibes, Cheryl! The Rideau canal is startin...

You certainly shouldn't feel stressed about your running; running should be about relieving stress, not causing it... As mentioned above, do your 4 weekly runs, and vary the distance, gradually building the length of your longest run at a pace that is comfortable to you. Again, if you feel like thro...

That is an awesome improvement in your PB!! Six and a half minutes off a 1.45 time e is amazing and shows you've being putting in some real quality training. And it was done on a wonky leg. Wow!!!!! That "slow" marathon helped by being more of a last long training run. I would say a sub 3.30 is com...
