jackets?

I like the green, and prefer the all black with colour accent. If I had the choice I would go with the black&green with RM logo.

Is there anyway to put some reflective tape/accents on as well?

Re: David's Tea

I picked up some of the salted caramel after work. It's steeping now. Smells pretty good. Question though. How do you steep your tea? I bought a tea ball but leaves are leaking out of it. Should have gotten the tea bags instead but they aren't reusable, or is there such a thing as a reusable tea bag...

Re: Victoria Goodlife - October 7, 2012

I'm pretty sure I'll be parked with the camera on the water side of Dallas, right across from Beacon Hill park. Last year I was in the same place but land side. Looks like only 1 of my co-workers is doing the 1/2, the rest are in the 8k.

Has anyone tried the Salted Caramel? I haven't bought tea from David's, but this may get me to try.

Until I can figure out my GI issues, it's not going anywhere  My stupid body won't "go" on demand before and then I get out there and have to go after a km which means I'm walking back to the car. Sigh. This happens to me when I run early in the morning. Plan a route that allows for...

But you're not old.

Actually, I'm just repeating what co-worker called it. I had no idea it was even a radio station until today, let alone what their content might be.

Re: Victoria Goodlife - October 7, 2012

My company is a major sponsor for one of the local charities. We've got 18 runners this year doing the 1/2 and 8k. If you see folks out in red shirts for CFAX Santas Anonymous, that's us. CFAX is an old person station on AM radio  (who knew there was still AM radio) so no one would have heard...

Re: Victoria Goodlife - October 7, 2012

As someone coming from the prairies, I would say there are hills everywhere that have to factored in. But that's just athletically challenged me. There is one along Dallas, around the 36k mark for the full (15k for the half) that you should be aware of. Other than that I'm not sure there's anything...

Yup :D Crazy stupid slow, but it's done.

Now it will really only a success this week if I can get up tomorrow morning and do a regular run.

Re: Victoria Goodlife - October 7, 2012

You can pretty much guarantee being in the comfortable 5-15 degree range. The main weather factor which can sometimes be a factor here is the wind. I'd like to try this race again some year, although now that the offset between the two races is only 75 minutes, there would be no "pie-stunts&qu...

Re: C25K Progression

Alright now! I am getting up tomorrow morning to add a 4th day of running. I am!! I swear.

Yeah, okay. There is the slightest chance that I'll be too comfy in my bed under the duvet with a cat purring in my face to get up.  But I'm gonna give it the old University try. :D!

Victoria Goodlife - October 7, 2012

So just wondering who is doing this? Haven't seen a thread for it but if there is one mods please delete this one.

I have a bunch of co-workers doing the 8 and 1/2 so while I'm not running I'll be out there cheering and taking photos and hoping to see a few maniacs ( I know Mary is doing the 1/2 ).

Re: C25K Progression

Marginally better today. Managed 6k in under 45min which is freakin' stellar for me. Still more walking than I would like, especially on the uphills (and if you know Victoria, it's pretty much all uphill), but I do what I can.

C25K Progression

It was not pretty. I decided to go back a few weeks in the schedule to 10:1s. Didn't even manage 1 interval and then cut the entire thing in half. Instead of 6km only did 3 and a bit. But... It's a place to start. Hopefully Wednesday will be better.

Re: C25K Progression

Didn't run at all last week, so tomorrow morning I'm back at it. Two weeks ago I was up to 15:1s, though they were rough and I think I was only really able to do one interval of 15 and the rest were not. So it should be... interesting to see what I can or cannot do tomorrow.

NB 1080s

Tried the 1080v2 and ended up buying them. They felt comfy and the store had the wide in my size. Except now that I've got them home I think I could go down 1/2 a size (still in wide) from what I normally wear  I just can't win. And... I got a parking ticket while shopping.

Re: NB 1080s

Overall I like the Saucony's. The heel drop did take a little getting used to at first.. .my calves and Achilles felt it. But once I adapted everything was good. I'm trying to switch my running to a little more mid/forefoot and less of a heel raise seems to help. This is what I'm worried about. I'm...

NB 1080s

So I went in to a local running store and tried on the Saucony Progrid Triumph 9s. The sales guy was originally going to put me in a bit of a motion control shoe but I said I wants to stick with my neutrals which sent him off on a bit of a rant about what is actually a neutral shoe? I was a bit conf...
