Re: Giro d'Italia

I guess from a purely "cycling" perspective I like Liggett and Sherwen, but it was refreshing to hear someone new. Kirby is a bit "chatty" and likes the sound of his own voice but I kind of got used to it. I liked Lloyd. As he is a former rider, I valued his comments. I agree wit...

Re: Giro d'Italia

I hope he gets the opportunity to ride the Tour.

I need someone to cheer for. Otherwise it's just so much scenery, which is great by the way and one of the main reasons why I watch the Tour.

What do you think of Kirby and Lloyd's commentary vs. Liggett and Sherwen?

Here's hoping he is selected by the team to ride in this year's Tour de France. I heard he wasn't picked last year.

Re: Giro d'Italia

He rode great today as well. For a while it looked like he might even have a stage win!

I hope Fabio got tested post race. That was an amazing, and somewhat surprising, turnaround for him.

Re: UCI finally comes clean?

Slightly off topic, but it brings a tear to my eye to see the recent US sting on FIFA officials. Finally, a good use for anti-terrorism legislation. Let's hope that there have been parallel investigations into the other corrupt organizations that are about to ripen. I'd love to see them take a run ...

Re: Giro d'Italia

Well that certainly fell into Contador's lap... Uran faded, Porte is completely cooked, Aru did what you'd expect in a time trial... it will take a calamity for anyone to catch him now. Ryder did OK actually, 16th best time of the day, not horrible. Not in contention but who knows, maybe a top-10 i...

Re: Giro d'Italia

Ryder is out of his league this year... and doesn't have a strong enough team around him. The individual time trial is tomorrow, will be interesting to see how he does vs the other GC guys, but I'm betting the answer is "not that great". Uran is definitely still in it - he should do well ...

Re: Giro d'Italia

Porte takes another hit today as he's held up by a crash 3.2km out... just 200m shy of the "crash within 3km of finish gets same time" rule. I thought they'd cut him and Contador some slack on this one, but nope. Rules are killing him this Giro! ;) For those not following he received a 2 ...

Re: Podiatrist in Toronto/GTA

I don't know any podiatrists but you might want to try what I did. I had pain in the ball of one foot and treated it by applying anti-inflammatory cream after running and placing foam metatarsal pads (taped in place) in my shoes. The pads should be placed behind the balls of the feet to take the pre...

2015 Robbie Burns 8K

This was the fourth year in a row that I have run in this local classic. It was “Robbie Burns weather,” sunny and cold. At race time, the temperature was minus 9 degrees with a wind chill of minus 18 degrees. I wore nylon wind pants over my tights again this year. It was an excellent idea! As usual,...
