All I'll say on this is that the thumb trigger on the front derailleurs with Sora is a bit difficult if you are in the drops, I'd bump up to the Tiagra/105.

I was lucky when I got my OCR1 last spring, that model came with 105/Ultegra.

Like the others said, run them at their max on the road, you'll be less likely to get a pinch flat from potholes - you do have potholes out west, right?

I inflate my commuter at least once a week (mine run to 80PSI), byt I inflate my road bike tires before every ride.
