Re: Canadian athlete disqualified at Ironman Canada

On a related note, I offered to (legally) transfer my half marathon bib to a friend since I won't be able to run. He said I was being "nazi-like" by insisting on a proper transfer instead of just letting him have my bib. Wasn't there a case where a dude running with a women's bib p...

Re: David Suzuki's 30x30 Challenge for May

I assumed the David Suzuki challenge would be to travel back and forth between my six homes 30 times by private jet while scolding the proles for their carbon footprint. I was mistaken. Similar thoughts crossed my mind... Me too. Overpopulation exacerbates the effects of humanity's bad habits...

Not only that, you get yourself a Boston jacket, you get to go home and go to hang around the start/finish line at every local race wearing your Boston jacket and work the word Boston into every conversation. i'm the odd duck, but i could totally understand why someone would cheat to run boston. and how they would still enjoy it. i mean, the roar of crowds as you're down boylston isn't dimmer just because you cheated to get there. sure, you're only getting the thrill of running the race and a lifetime o...

Re: Just in Time for Boston--There are cheaters in your mids

I don't care. It doesn't affect me personally and not a single person in the world was affected by this. Except the person whose spot she took in Boston. This happened prior to the new rules. Even before the new rules, Boston did fill up. So she likely did take someone's spot who tried to register ...

Re: Just in Time for Boston--There are cheaters in your mids

But at the time, there was a quirk in the course. If memory serves, it was around the 27 K mark. One ran down into Bowness Park, did either a 1 K or 1 mile loop that returned one back to where they entered the park. Aid stations and porta potties were there. So someone who wanted to cheat could hav...

Re: A Clean Apology: That's Dope!?!

Definitely uncharacteristic candor for a busted athlete, although I'd be curious to see if that would change if any of the hundreds of millions of dollars she's already banked were in jeopardy. I'm actually slightly more impressed that tennis managed to catch a doper and not work some backroom deal...

Re: Fitbit Class Action - inaccurate heart rate monitor

Interesting. I didn't know that. Not really a laughing matter. Curious that there isn't a preventative health kit that is marketed for men. it hasn't been marketed for men because the test isn't particularly accurate - i.e., it will miss the majority of testicular cancers, and test positive for som...

The event is actually called the Krispy Kreme Challenge. Is the headline writer supposed to rename it?
