Re: Munchie Monday ;)

3.5km in a snow storm at the cottage! It was supposed to be 4km, but I got a bit freaked out when the snow turned visibility to zero and I have only run on this road twice. I had myself convinced that I would pick up my head and not have a clue where I was. I think I have been out in the woods...

Re: The Real Boxing Day 2009 Daily Thread

Just getting ready to head up to my sister's cottage in Bracebridge for a few days of fun in the snow! Runs will be fit in up there along with some snow shoe activity (I won't use the word run until I have tried them out)!

I ran this morning. It was super hard and I didn't do 6:1s, but I still ran 17 minutes of the 18 I was supposed to run, so i'm satisfied. This brings me to 3 runs in one week!

Nicely done!

4km in the glorious sunshine with Oliver. Found some nice dry sidewalks that were salt-free for my baby! :D It's -8° here, but the wind on the way back felt a bit chilly. I hope Santa brings me a warmer pair of winter running tights. My first day of holidays, but I really don't have anything ...

Re: Training and the Holidays

I will continue to run when I can and where I can over the holidays. I am looking forward to having some time off when work won't interfere with my work-outs so much. Planning on heading up North for a few days so if I can't run, I will get outside and do something. Really looking forward to trying ...

We'll also be upping our efforts to encourage carpooling to all events. The environmental reasons are obvious, but also it's better for the respective venues. The various conservation authorities use the fees our big events pay them to fund their yearlong programs, but it'd suck if they had to star...

Does icebreaker or any other merino base not feel a bit itchy? I am guessing not given the rave reviews but when I felt it in my hands on the rack I was a bit concerned it might bother my skin. I am allergic to wool and, despite prodding, I have avoided the merino wool for this reason. It would be ...
