Re: Doonst loses his way at 5 Peaks Terra Cotta

I was thinking that you could become a triathlete, but you can't even figure a way on the simple trail in your own background. Very disappointing

Re: Doonst attempts to attempt a tri- Cayuga Lake Olympic length

Congratulations!!!
Brave move to start right away with Olympic!
You look like a triathlete on those pictures. I am surprised that you are not hooked, although you are doing a good variety of runs to keep them interesting.
Congrats to Heather too.

No not jet lag, but I arrived on Wednesday, so it might be an issue if you race on the next day after the flight.

Just a short update. I was planning to execute my race inspired by article of Rich Strauss...

Re: WGRs CVC 50K

Congratulations on completing this tough race  I head my heat exposure also. I run out of fluids on my bike ride today at 86 km of the ride, few bottles of drinks (pepsi, water, orange juice and Gatorade) added to my misery - suffered to the end of this 160 + km ride. Once the heat takes you d...

Re: Le Tour de France 2010 Cheating Thread

Was there at least one race in the past 10 years in which (or shortly after) nobody was banned for doping?
If there wasn't I am betting that this year's tour is going to be one in which nobody will be caught cheating!

Re: June Mileage/Training

As I planned this was the highest monthly run this year and the highest cycling volume ever. Swimming a little bit neglected, as I couldn't convince myself to jump into 12-13°C Georgian Bay water during my 7 days training trip to Blue Mountains. End of the month not so good - yesterday I fell down o...

Time goals are always tricky, this is why I always prefer to run against someone of similar abilities; it is good motivator and also indicator of own performance. It is very difficult to predict what would be your optimal pacing especially if racing isn't something you do everyday and you are sure t...
