While I will miss ORW, and pacing, I would be very nervous right now to pace even a slow marathon well

No run, but a strength session with my trainer. I can feel myself improving. Right now we are focusing on range of motion, not really strength. I am learning to do this with my clients.

Well done! Those conditions sound eerily like the ones I ran here in Toronto a few weeks ago. Not particularly fun.

9 k this morning. I have been at personal training boot camp for the last 3 days. Learning a lot! Oh! And my learn to run group has been approved at the club!

So awesome! Totally agree with you about the finish. Completely unprepared for the weather. My bag was drenched, the TTC was not operating regularly in the area, and I never did find the supposed race buses. I do love the course though. It's a scenic fast one. It was good to see you! The last marathon I raced (PEI 2014), I ran a 3 min negative split. And the 2nd half of that course is tougher. Now that I know how good it feels to finish a marathon strong, I never want to go through the slog again. That means I'll always have to set a goal based on my fitness not necessarily my ...

I was astonished by my somewhat negative split last weekend. I did really feel strong the whole way. I have not come close that before.

The bags in the rain pissed me off too. And the TTC situation. I used the 35k station which was
Ok and didn't use one after that. I could see they were meager

Hi guys! Chip time 4:09:15. Splits are unbelievable. 2:04:43 and 2:04:32. Never done that before! Miserable last 7k

He ran 2:13 a few years ago, but hasn't come close since. I'm not sure he was made to run 2:12. I agree about his attitude though. I'm hoping he is successful at a different angle like coaching or broadcasting.
