still who would want to see a gunfight at the 3:45 corral Depends on if you are ok to be in that corral... You would have to be a certain caliber to be in that corral. For some, it might mean bringing their PB gun. In this case, it would be gun time not chip time. :D What a pistol! I am no gun runn...

Ed Whitlock update

From Inside Halton: Whitlock refuses to let knees slow him down. The 82-year-old has had to take some time off this spring but hopes to be back running marathons by the fall. Inflammation in his knees has sidelined Whitlock this spring, though. So rather than running the Waterloo Marathon, he served...

Re: Garmin vs Polar vs Timex

What about the 310Xt Garmin at $229: http://www.gpscentral.ca/products/garmin/forerunner310xt.html Thanks, that does look like a good deal. I can't tell from the website if it only tracks calories with the HRM, but given that I take the calories on the Garmin with a grain of salt and round down any...

Re: Boston Marathon 2013

This is a sick and heinous act at what is the mecca for many marathoners. The reasons why will be discovered. They will never be justifiable reasons. I have run Boston 3 times so I got lots of calls and emails yesterday asking me if I was there. I was not, and hadn't planned on running Boston again...

Re: Boston Marathon 2013

I think you would be fine with the timing of the drop-off Ken. The way I remember it (it was 5 years ago!) there was no lineup at the buses, they just filled one and it went. Just a short ride too, 5 or 10 minutes.
You have a great time!
