You are going to Drink with the MM for 3 1/2 months
You'll need AA and a new liver

Looks like another year of marathons for you..... 8)

Umm, yeah .. :?

Now, if the seat sales for Edmonton is affordable ... That would be another leg for my Canadian Provincial Marathon Capital Cites in the Western Region ...

Is the Regina Marathon in September in a Provincial Capital ?? :?

Yeah, figured with the hotel so cheap at $109.00 plus taxes per night, might as well make the most of it, as I was able to use my aeroplan ....

Vancouver, on the other hand, is like $250.00/night plus taxes .. so, only able to stay sat/sun :? :?

You should definitely come to Edmonton in August!!!

Oh, and I had a blast last year in Winnipeg - you are going to love it!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Considering. Carrie is under instructions to whack me with a stick every time I mention it. I don't think anyone who saw me finish in 2005 would be able to stand the thought of it.

On the other hand, fast, flat, bit of a hometown trip, what are the chances of another bakingly hot year?

Do the Half, no where near as much suffering (and you get to the finish and can drink all the beer before the Full people come in).

You just convinced me. I'll register for the full and if its looking stupid hot I'll switch to the half.

Andy, sorry if I missed it upthread but where are you staying?

Is Maureen doing it??

Nope, she's been sidelined with an injury since last July. But she did it in 2005, the year of the stupid hot. My mother was a nervous wreck the whole time she was out on the course. My BIL and I had to keep phoning in with updates. She probably prayed the whole time.

And this year is the first time five in years that I will not be running it...This makes me want to reconsider...

BUT...I will be a heck of a cheering section for everyone...
22 halfs (PR 1:42:02) :)
5 full (PR 3:48:21)
...and a smattering of adventure and trail races thrown in for good measure!
