Leaving for T.O. in about 10 minutes...

I have a 1 hour bike and a 1 hour run on the schedule... thinking one of those needs to be dropped. We'll see!

Have an amazing day, everyone! :D

I am exhausted.

Had a very difficult time getting to sleep, after my new sitter called at midnight last night (after her first day of work) to say she thinks she got food poisoning when she went out to eat with her parents as she'd been vomiting all night. So I have no sitter on her second day of work. :?

So much for having a good test run before returning to work on Monday! And so much for swimming today. :(

I'm doing a mini-taper for Sunday, so only a short 4km run this morning. I need new shoes... Pain in my foot and shin this morning confirmed. Next week, I guess. No time before Montreal.

Big work presentation this morning, then off to Montreal tonight!

OH, great... now that it's 7:30 and too late to go out for a run, I hear that there's a smog warning in effect ... conditions to deteriorate throughout the day. And I'll be running this evening. :(

Angela and Heather, have a great time.

Dave- CONGRATULATIONS!! You should be so proud of yourself. 25 years- you have done so much good for so many people. 8) :)

We are going to the gym tonight, but no run for me. I'm going to do some weights and core stuff, though.

Break out the sunshine, I'm heading to Vancouver today.

Likely won't have time for a run before I leave, but I hope to run in a different location a few times over the next 8 days.

Have a good week everyone!

Congrats Dave. 25 years WOW  Do you remember your first day?

Quick and, I'd like to say easy, 6km this morning. Legs felt heavy and lethargic, which they usually do during taper. Threw in some pickups and a little tempo. Kinda just a mixed up run. 4:40 avg so not too bad. My next run will be a gentle jog around Boston 8) :P

I ran 2 miles yesterday and it felt hard, with the 22°C it was too hard for Rocky too. I will probably lose my running buddy for the summer...

Back to work! Have a good one!

Safe trip to Boston Jo-Jo and Mtl Angela!

Good luck Trish hope you can find a sln

Last night I got my interviews done a little early and so hopped on an earlier flight from Montreal and made it home in time for an outdoor ride; 27km in about 50 minutes. I treated it kind of like a tempo type ride, especially into the wind.

This morning I was up early to do the swim I didn't do yesterday (wished I had done it yesterday when the 05:30 alarm went off); intervals workout comprising a 400m w/u followed by a 50, 100, 150, 200, 150, 100, 50m ladder at about 80% effort with 15sec rest between sets. Followed that with 8 x 100m at 80% before a 400m cool down. Tonight a 60 minute tempo run and then tomorrow is a rest day!

Have a great day Maniacs.

Very easy 10km tonight. I am not sure if I remember to run anymore... :?

After the run, I have to start packing...

Congratulations Dave! 25 years. At least you have a banquet. I celebrated my 25 years last year with the feds... nada, not even a thank you...

I did a quick circuit workout this morning and rushed home to shower and change and start tidying...the landscaper guy is coming today to size up the yard.

While I was tidying up I noticed girly's rubberboots stuck in the middle of a mud puddle up to the top brim. No wonder she looked like the creature from the black lagoon when she came in yesterday. (I had to make her strip off on the front porch then carried her to the shower to minimize the damage)

I weighed in this morning and had pleasant results, so all in all, it should be a good day...Uber busy, but good nonetheless.

Good luck to all who start their travels today for their weekend races!!

Good, hard tempo run done last night. 7.7K in 42:32 (5:31 pace - yowsa!).

Tonight, Tri club Pub Run & board meeting. Not sure how far I'll run, but I'm going to take it easy as my hamstrings/glutes are feeling a bit sore today. :?

I'm on my way to a perfect week (work-out wise that is).. Last night had a hard but really good swim work out.. at one point I joked that G was trying to drown me

Tonight, 10K clinic talk and 5 hills. I may have to miss the talk & do a shorter work out as it's also HAPPY HAIR CUT/COLOUR day for me! 8)

Have a good one kids, and enjoy the day!

Kara, my baby brother was forever getting his welli's stuck in the mud & coming back to the house in his socks.. Thanks for the giggle!
