I'll be there, trying to set a 10 k PB. Out of 4 Sun Runs, I have set a PB 3 times so I like my chances. I love the Sun Run! :D

Hey Seuss! I'll be there. I'll be pacing a friend who's new to running to break the 1 hr mark. It should be fun :D Sure hope it doesn't snow

Sun Run

Postby marymac442 » Thu Apr 17, 2008 10:40 pm

I'll be doing the run with all my Bonsor buds and Sun Run clinic participants.

We'll be hanging out under the "B" in BC Place after the run.

I always set a PB in the Sun Run, too! So many people say it's not the race for that, but it's a great race for me.

Sadly I won't be doing it this year, though.

Have fun!!

I signed up for it 2 weeks ago after getting over my 2 week long cold, but have now come down with the second part of the cold so will be watching from the sidelines! Dress warmly everyone, looks like it's going to be a chilly one...

I'm jealous - I ran/walked (mostly walked!) it last year - it's what started me with the running bug. Originally I signed up just for the free trip through work. LOL!

Couldn't find the time off this year but I will most definitely be there in 2009!

I believe they have now set a new record with 55,768 registrants (that was this afternoon, it may be more by now). WOW!

No, I am not running it....unless there's someone out there who wants to run the route twice at a nice casual 6:30-6:45/km pace. :P Please no snow on Sunday.

I had hoped to run it this year, I really enjoyed last year's race; but I guess there's always next year. Have a great time y'all!

UPDATE: rumors of our poor weather have been greatly exaggerated. Aside from a tiny bit of snow that hit last night for an hour and melted by this morning, it's only been a touch cooler than it's been recently. I didn't need a jacket today or anything but it was a bit cool. Today has been absolutely beautiful spring weather. Perfect racing weather, I'd say.

I wonder how many actually do participate. I say that because I am the captain for a big corporate team and nearly 1/3 tried to back out after registering. It turns out there are some people out there, crazy as it sounds, who don't enjoy running!
