My back problems ended up caused by compensating for foot problems which turned into total pain in my heel every step by Sat afternoon (like PF pain) so I took the whole weekend off running. Discovered that when I wore my runners (with orthotics) I had no pain so wore shoes all day Sat / Sun. - even thought about sleeping in them  Today pain seems gone (bare foot that is) but wore my runners to work anyway (thank heavens I can!). Plan to try for 10K tonight since I missed my LSD. If the foot starts hurting I'll loop back home and play it safe. Don't want to 'lose' my first half at NCM so hoping that I caught it fast and can keep it from getting bad! I am optimistic though and it is a beautiful morning!

With nothing to really train for I guess it is time to start thinking of something like the 20 min challenge.

Will likely start doing short runs daily with a 20 min minimum.

Clinic night. It's 6 or 8km I think, likely tempo paced. My legs feel good for 21+ km yesterday... thank goodness.

What a whirlwind weekend. It's Monday already?!

G'day,
I walked out the door at 5:10 a.m. and it was pouring rain. I halted, thought seriously about going back to bed and running in the evening. I realized that would likely not happen, so I cut my run a bit short instead. I went out for 6K and I'm still feeling far too sluggish. I felt somewhat akin to a wet dog by the time I returned but it is so great just to get out there anyway.

Way to have at 'er Dan!

I got a circuit workout in already...and I'm contemplating heading out the door for a quick 4K tempo.

Then I have to tackle the kids' bedrooms. They tend to tidy up, but every now and then the parental units have to do a thorough clean and organization. Today is that day! Hopefully I can get both rooms done in time for them to come home from school and undo all my work.

Back in the proverbial saddle after a busy weekend (lots of painting, driving and rugby!) and a few days off to let my knees heal.

Happy to report that I ran 6K this morning with minimal discomfort (mostly just from the scrapes) and biked into work this morning. I was a bit anxious on the ride, but I'm hoping my confidence will build back up.

Tonight - 80 minute spin followed by a brick run and some strength.

A swim at lunch and then a spin on the bike.

I may try taking my bike outside again today - it is supposed to be 14°C and sunny today . I am getting so sick of the trainer, but I am not willing to ride through snow again...

Havea great day everyone,

Colleen

Have a great day everyone.
