Had to get up at 4am to go to work for a deployment. Perhaps a run later today after a nap.

The rain seems to have stopped here for now and with any luck it will hold off until after my run. Just having some breakfast and then I will head out. The plan is to do a really easy paced 15k.

Have a great day,

Woke up to the sound of thunder, it is indeed a soggy day. Last swimming lesson for the girls this morning. I'll soon have my Saturday mornings free! Yippee! Spending more than 3 hours at the pool on Saturday morning gets a bit old after a while.

Not sure what else is on the agenda today. I'll likely run on the treadmill tonight. Hoping that the rain will be gone by tomorrow morning so that DH, the youngest and I can ride our bikes while the eldest is at her riding lesson tomorrow morning.

It's sunny here!

I should do something active today. Might just be abs and push ups. I have a weird pain on my foot. It's not ON the metatarsal, but just under it.

beautiful sleeping

Postby tamaswing » Sat May 31, 2008 7:49 am

Did anyone else wake up last night to the sound of a thunderstorm?, then lay there and enjoy the wondersound of nature unleashing it's power as you dosed ever so slowly back to sleep?

Rain has stopped here for the moment (hamilton) just finishing my morning coffee then out for a ride (hoping rain holds off) then an hour tempo run. Enjoy your saturday folks.

I'm icing a sore foot and lower back... not sure waht's up with that. Gotta hoe the garden sometime today, clean the house, get groceries, do laundry and I should probably go to Body Flow and have a sauna afterwards... Then I have to write an article for our newsletter and proof-read several others... and ah yah! a 30 min run on the schedule too. Isn't it great to have a day off?

Have a great day all!! :D

Back from 10.47K with La in 1:04:05. I'm so out of shape it isn't even funny anymore. I finally said out loud that I haven't really run seriously since the Ottawa Marathon last year. A lot has happened in the last year (lost my Dad, bought the house, LittleBG started school, more job stress, did a play, joined another band), but enough is enough. Running isn't going to help reduce my stress if I'm not actually doing it. NOT Running has been adding to my stress, which sucks.

So. I promise to run tomorrow morning, first thing. No ifs or buts.

Going to visit Dad this morning at the hospital. THe difference today is that my Mom is being picked up by the brother to visit him for the first time in over a month.
Should be interesting and scary, but the four of us will be together as a family.

Later, it's DD family dinner with her Dad, DH and I are helping out and get along fine with my ex's family.
Probably no run, but will do so tomorrow while DH is doing the Becel ride for Heart.

Have a great day all.
Cheers,
Jill

Hilly humid run this morning in Toronto - about 8 kms in 40 minutes. I didn't really track the time - I have one more run before I start getting all "A-type" into my marathon training. :D

The storm woke me up as well last night. Since it is POURING out here, and I'm still stuffed full of yummy blueberry pancakes, I'm going to wait a while before I think about running. Might head down to the basement to test out the TM for the first time in the new house if it hasn't lightened up a bit by then.

Other than that, a quiet day at home, and hopefully motivating myself to unpack a bit more.

19km in the pouring rain. Too much fun really. It is not cold out. Throw on a baseball cap and jacket, after a couple of km's you don't even feel it. Splash through some puddles and have fun.

Off to Costco and then having some "single" friends over for Potluck dinner.

Trails should be good an muddy tomorrow.... 8)

Good Morning all

Well, the sun decided to show it's face here in TO. Was not nice earlier. It made my 8.5K run a little hot though! Sigh. Guess I have to get used to it! Even though May has been cool, it's been spectacular running weather!

I think I'll get an earlier start on my LSD tomorrow.

Enjoy your day all!

Still no running. I made a deal with physio dude that if he got me thru Smokey I'd do what he says until my Half IM. Kind of like making a deal with the devil.

So instead I went for a ride, 43k. Toe hurt the whole time, knee started hurting at 31k, that was the signal to head home.

Who knows what I'll do for the rest of the day???

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Yes, it is very wet here today.

Lost our game 3-2 last night. Our goalie showed up when we were down 2-1 and then we missed 3 or 4 basically open nets. Oh well, at least the rain held off until the final whistle and I was able to play the whole game.
