best running pics

Postby ultraslacker » Thu Nov 24, 2005 8:46 pm

hey everyone,

If any of you have some fabulous pics of yourself running and/or wearing your RM shirt, send them to me! I want to incorporate them into the site. Here are the criteria:

- can't be copyrighted to anyone else--we need the freedom to use them
- must be great quality (lighting, etc., but also not grainy)

I'll be pulling a few from the member pictures section, but may need more. So post them here!

Dave took a great one of me in my RM shirt at Angus Glen. It's on a thread somewhere.

How can I load pics on here from my computer? Do I have to put them in my profile?

Ken, to post a picture like Lorne has done above:

1. Create an account with one of the free picture-hosting website (photobucket.com is a good one)

2. Upload pictures from your computer to the picture-hosting site. It's pretty easy.

3. The site will assign each picture a URL. Copy and paste the URL into the body of your runningmania post, and surround the URL with . If you don't put the part, it'll just appear as a weblink to the image.

4. Photobucket allows you to resize images, since sometimes when you post them they end up MUCH bigger than you intended.

Brendan, my all-time favourite picture that's ever been posted on this site is the one of you and Stephan leaning against a brick wall after the Valley Harvest Marathon. The mix of exhaustion and satisfaction on your faces is priceless.
