Road2Hope Hamilton Marathon
October 31st & November 1st, 2009
http://www.hamiltonmarathon.ca/about.html

Anyone running it this year ?? Unfortunately, it's a week after Marine Corps :?

The sad news is that the Flying Squirrel (and Medal) is no longer one of the primary theme for this race

I think I'm skipping this one this year. I'm doing the Horror Hill 6 hr Trail Run instead and be a flying squirrel.

  Horror Hill is the first race where I experienced runner's high. My avatar is from HH. Oh, good times... :D

Back to regular programming... Hamilton is a fast course, flat to gently rolling in the first half, then down a fast, but slightly painful expressway to the waterfront where you get pummeled by the winds coming off the lake. Who's running it?

I am entered in the half-marathon with the idea of running it with my pal BumbleG. The final decision will be made after I run the Marine Corps Marathon the weekend before. If the body allows me to, I will run it. If not I will be a spectator/cheerleader/sherpa for BumbleG and TequilaSheila.

Ouch, and you seemed like such a nice guy. I will make a sincere effort to keep it all in at Fanshawe.

There is no chance of me stepping up anything, I'm still on the rebound. If and when I do a 50 I will be well prepared for it, that's just how I roll.

I assume that means Simon will be coming home to visit his mom. I saw her last week and she was bemoaning the fact that she doesn't get to see Pippa much.
Should be fun for the people running in his pace group.

As a guy who likes to pace races, I am little confused by the news flash: is he pacing 1:30 or 1:40 at Hamilton--not sure it is good to pace a range of time---unless he is converting his ish training principle into a ish pacing principle.

Would be fun to run with Simon but sadly (well not reall y that sadly), I am in New York that weekend for the marathon....so start spreading the news.
The longest journey begins with a single step.

I just assumed that meant that he'll run a 1:40 pace for most of the race, then toss his hat off, and...
