Sorry, my main consideration was not to conflict with the Fall Classic on the 15th. Which race is the 8th?

I for one am very happy about this date, so that I can do the fall classic, lol!

The Haney to Harrison Relay is on the 7th, but that's the day before so as far as I can tell shouldn't be a hindrance. :P

Plans are in the works... we're just waiting for Dave to make the official announcement. And yes, I did set up a fb page for the vancouver group and everyone is welcome to join, but I was waiting for the official announcement before publicizing that.

Hey all, I volunteered to help out with this but I'm swamped with at work for the next few weeks. Anyone in Winnipeg willing to help organize a local 5km event on November 8? Anyone?

Is this really going to be a nation-wide RM event? If so, why isn't there more publicity about it here? I'm just a bit confused.

Yeah, and even in this discussion, there is no real mention of the details of what or when the events are.... that would seem to be appropriate for a new thread if it were going to be a real event trying to attract the entire RM community. Right now it seems like only people "in the know" are involved-- and the event is three weeks away. So it seems that maybe it's not going?

Hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn, but it looks like our event is going to be postponed. :(

Time runs short and between all of the cities we have not been able to get organized quickly enough. And we want to do it up right, so it seems that it will be better to wait for a time (probably in the new year) when we can all get focused and organized. :) That's why the silence... we were trying to work it out via pm. :) The consensus seems to be to postpone.

Yes, I think we're going to postpone it until a future date. Too many other things have come up in the past two months and it just hasn't gotten off the ground. We'll put it on the backburner for now and make a more committed go of it in the spring time.
