Up To Speed

Postby dgrant » Fri Oct 09, 2009 3:16 pm

Hello friends. Do you love shameless self-promotion? I do.

Starting today, I'll have a daily (Monday-Friday) online column at irun.ca. Fridays are Video Day. Each day of the week will have something a little different, so go ahead and check it out everyday. I spoke to each of your bosses, and he/she said it was okay. Tell your friends, tell your enemies.

I hate shameless self promotion. That's why I won't tell you about the re-naming of my blog from 2009 Blog Idol Winner to "Endorphin Junkie" and how excited I am about it and how you can just click my www button below to see it
Hey, maybe that's what I should change my name to, now that I'm not so "gnu" around here anymore...but Turd Ferguson appreciates the implausibility of gnu...or would if there were more than one. Wait...what?

I loved the video today too, dgrant! Very cool. Looking forward to your daily column!

I tend to not watch any video Dave tells me to watch...well, at least at work!

So, what am I missing? I can't find the video. Do I have parental guide turned on or something? :?

Besides the great race, I also loved hearing Don Whitman's call of the race. He called some of the best races on Canadian TV: Ben Johnson's WR, Donovan Bailey's WR, the 4x100m gold medal in Athens, and Simon Whitfield's gold in Sydney. I miss hearing Don Whitman. :(

Today's column concerns the connected origins of a few of today's top shoe makers. Have a look.

I am not picking anything up at your link Dave other than the title and date. Anybody else having that problem?

Hmm, not sure. I was just adding something new (Alanis Morissette's first marathon yesterday) and it seems to be okay. Maybe try refreshing / deleting cookies?

Twice now in the past week I've come across new article links from letsrun.com that you'd already beat to the punch in your column (Iowa Marathon and Adidas vs. Puma). Very cool!

I haven't been able to go back and read previous articles either. Weird...I'm technically challenged, but not that badly.
