My thoughts are with you, racers!
Bike ride later today, groceries, plus still working on the picture CD for my parent's 50th next week!

Goodluck racers!
Calve is a little swollen, so I am just going to do a tempo later instead of a long run and so my long run tomorrow.

I ran for 45 minutes yesterday, so just 20 minutes for me today. Leaving in a bit. I'm feeling the knee a bit too.
Is there live tracking available for the Chicago runners? I tried looking on the website, but the only thing I found was the verizon text message tracking, but not an online spot to look. There is online tv coverage at universal sports, but that will only be for the elites.

I did not bring my running gear to work so I will have to try to squeeze it in later in the day. Managed to get a few hours of sleep since the house was empty again (I so love getting paid to sleep!).

Re: Race time Sunday!
Snow on the ground here yesterday. Seemed to all melt but ground is white again today.
Ran 6 k on the TM yesterday getting myself in shape for what seems to be shaping up to a long winter of indoor running.
Will try to get 8 k at LSD speed in today with my wife once old turkey-lurkey is in the oven!
Wish all in Chicago well. Currently cloudy and just above freezing there with a forecast of 45 by noon. Perfect running weather
Was it last year they almost canceled during the race because of heat?

Re: Race time Sunday!
Just getting ready to head out for my long run, 80 minutes today as long as I don't have any IT band issues. Need new shoes...went to buy them yesterday but they didn't have my size and it was too late to go somewhere else.
Will be thinking about all the racers - hope you all have a great day out there!

Re: Race time Sunday!
split the difference for my spin yesterday - did 75min while watching the live coverage from Kona!
today - will be heading out for a 60min run soon - it's minus 9 right now and a light snow is falling. lovely. Then, will be heading into work for the aftn to make up some time that I owe.

Back from a kind of sluggish 20k. It was OK, but I think my body was telling me that I wasn't quite ready for that distance again just yet.

I want to go run, but I want to see everyone come in safely in Chicago!
A slow, easy 16k LSD planned... but I'm so pumped from watching the live coverage that I might go too fast.

20K lsd in the books this morning with some peeps at the RR Club Run ... Legs felt surprisingly fresh, considering they travelled over 31K yesterday ... Right smack on my Goofy Training, me thinks ...

Re: Race time Sunday!
I'm in the nation's capitol for Thanksgiving. This morning I caught some of the Ottawa Fall Colours races. Saw Jo-Jo rock her 5K, well done! Also ran into Jesse and Joe with cameras on, and met TriChristine and husband after their half marathons. Sounds like good races all round, a little breezy but pleasant. CMoss was also in attendance, good doggy.
next up:

One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day

Re: Race time Sunday!
What a perfect day for a run - sunny, crisp air, leaves showing their colours. Just what I needed to remind myself that I love running, as it has felt a bit like a chore the last couple of weeks. Ran for approx 7km on the trails. Now, back to cooking!
Re: Race time Sunday!
I have to get out for a walk sometime today. Lunch first.

Ran a PB 53:55 at the Fall Colours 10km. Garmin had 53:43, but they only use gun time so hey ho, I'll make sure and line up closer to the front next year...

Re: Race time Sunday!
Did my last long-ish run before the half next week. It was cold. I was sore. But, it's done!
Bird's in the oven... latte is being picked up by the hubster... and I'm off to work on the side dishes. I love this holiday!

22 K this morning on my LSD. Thought about the Chicago Marathon -- hope everyone is pleased with their race.
Re: Race time Sunday!
Easy , well slow, 9K done on a fine, blustery fall day. Legs are sore & like cement today and my back is locked up. Time for some more stretching on the floor now....

Re: Race time Sunday!
Bailed on the tempo in the first 5 minutes, calve still hurts, and I need a easy day. 3.2km in 13:20. Still doing well, haven't had a rest day since the beginning of the 100 day challenge.RunsOnWater wrote:Goodluck racers!
Calve is a little swollen, so I am just going to do a tempo later instead of a long run and so my long run tomorrow.
