Congrats DT! Yes, you are a little insane for hitting that kind of running mileage.

Feeling mostly better today (I actually made it to work today). Just a 45 minute spin on the trainer tonight.

Good thing this is a recovery week, since I haven't done anything since Sunday

Have a great day everyone,

I went for a 45 minute walk at lunch. I checked out all the snow they are putting down for the snowboarder who will bring the Olympic Flame down tonight. It's kinda neat!

Wow DT- that is insane mileage! Congrats.

I went for a 4.2 k run with the stroller. For the second day in a row, G started to cry as we were going, so I had to turn around and run quickly home, and managed a decent pace (6:23/k). I wish I could have gone longer, but short and (for me) fast will have to do.

Wet, windy weather Wednesday? Well, there is a wind warning here, and it's been raining off and on...

Track workout tonight. 30 min w/u, 30 x 100M, 30 min c/d. Oddly long warm upa nd cool down and no specific pace for the repeats, so I'm confused! But I'll go do it... and I'm dragging a friend with me too, I think. Haha!

I noticed last night that if I do all my assigned runs (as assigned), I'll hit about 303km this month. It'll be the first time ever!

And ever-so-kind Carla reminded me via text that I'm just 10 days away from race day. :P

Nice warmup then hill repeats into the wind. Yikes, lottsa whitecaps out there, and almost time to go to work.

Happy Birthday RA.

Back on track again, although I have confirmed to myself that I am a true weather wimp. These bones
are feeling too darn old to run in the dark and the cool, let alone cold. Until I deal with my Polar issues I'm running by
time - I hour on the inside track done tonight. Feels good.

20K of hilly trails. The poor bunnies have turned white already but there's no snow or greenery to hide them.

Missed my run at 4:00 pm and it was dark by the time I picked up Justin and got home. Made dinner, watched some tv and returned Justin for 8:00 pm. Came home, got changed and did 4km in the dark with Oliver.

A 3 mile test run outside. Yep, my Nike+ and my Garmin both report the same distances. My Garmin is now semi-retired.

With my knee feeling much better, I am now back into full training mode.

Nice group run tonight...just over 9K at a nice pace. After that it was *$$ and off to play soccer where we won 7-0. I pulled my back at the end of the first half and then pretended to be a pylon at times in the second half.

It was a dark and stormy night....

I had no idea how to dress for this run as it was a bit of a first for me--dark, pouring, and WINDY. The wind was cold. The first mile sucked. But after that I was warmed up and thoroughly soaked and the rest of the run wasn't bad. :)

6 miles done.

you are braver than me. i have never seen as much water blowing around on the highway as i did tonight.

i am supposed to do a treadmill run so i can strictly control my heart rate to my zone 1 glacial pace. power's out - no "running" for me. you know it will be a while before the power is on when hydro won't even take your trouble call. why isn't the hydro project finished - whole lotta watts coming down that creek. and why is the generator in the mechanical room not doing something? i'm in the dark about this...

Well, I, for one, did NOT get out for my run tonight. This is the first time since I started this training round that I have actually not done a run (I've shortened a couple a bit, but not skipped any). And since I moved here, actually, this is one of only a few unplanned rest days. If it had been a normal steady state run, I would've had no problem getting out there. But I really didn't feel like running slowly for half an hour, then trying to speed along the muddy track for 30 repeats, then running slowly for another half hour.

So, my buddy and I are meeting at 6am to get it done then.

The irony is, I've just discovered another track... one that's NOT dirt. Honestly, had I known that earlier tonight, it probably would've pushed me over the edge to get out and try that track. (I'm kind of annoyed anyway, as I'd have preferred to do all of my track workouts there, dammit!)

Yeah, all that to say, I'm thoroughly annoyed with myself right now.

Fantastic run, really crisp morning and great company. Just what I needed at a cool relaxed pace (that I am really hoping I can hold for 42km).
