I am contemplating running this race. I have not yet registered since it is still a ways off and my daughter is only seven weeks old now. I was going to wait until the last possible minute to register.

I noticed some people sold their bibs for this race last year. Can anyone let me know what the process for that would be if I registered but was unable to go? If I had to try and sell my bib to someone would they be able to pickup the race kit or would I have to be there to do it for them?
[b]2016 Races:[b]

January - Richmond Road Races 10 km 41:06
March - St Patrick's Day 10 km 41:31
April - Minto Run for Reach half-marathon 1:28:56
May - Sporting Life 10 km - 41:10
May - Ottawa Marathon - 3:26:37
September - Army Run

Usually it isnt a problem for them to pick up your kit - they would just need to know your actual name and bib number. They would race under your name.

Actually, ATB is usually pretty good at letting you actually transfer the bib to your own name!

I registered for the 30km yesterday, figured I better get around to it before it gets too late.

What is the course like? I have read some reviews stating it gets hilly over the last bit.

The first 20-ish km are basically all flat, and then the rollers start, including one fairly big climb at around 26 or 27 km. The last bit is flat/downhill, but I found it quite windy last year.

Maybe cause of the pouring rain?

Rained steadily for the first 15k but stopped for about the last 10k. I ran the relay with KMP and felt so bad for her running in the deluge of the first part of the course.

it was just that last section after you came up out of the big climb and back onto the open road. Maybe that was just fatigue and not wind that I was feeling!
