Friday is... Frigid? And Finally here!!

Postby La » Fri Jan 29, 2010 7:21 am

Morning. :)

Good spin class last night. Not sure what today will bring - maybe a short run on the treadmill, maybe a rest day. We'll see.

Time trial this morning. Could have done better if I didn't let my brain get in the way of things.

Now off for long day number 8,209!
Next?

Rest day here, recovering from a mini hangover....

So cold here today but I have my parents' car for the last day and enjoyed the heated seats!

Have a good one!

I overslept. Blue Rodeo played until 11 last night, and then I was just too tired to get up this morning. Lunch with a friend, and dinner with another means there is no gym time today. I'll make up for it tomorrow, unless one of the friends cancels, and I hope neither do.

Up early to walk on the TM and then couldn't find my ipod. That was enough to completely derail the walking plans.

1/2 day at work (thank goodness) then groceries, hopefully some bread making, and tearing the house apart to find the ipod before tomorrows long run.

Good Friday everyone!

Way too cold here today. Had to decide between getting up at 5:30 and face the -25 windchill, or stay in bed for another hour snuggled up with my warm, cuddly wife. Turned out to be a pretty easy decision to make.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Good thing you didn't go see Guns n' Roses here in TO - they didn't even start playing until 11:30!

How was Blue Rodeo? I used to be a huge fan and saw them many times in concert in their early days (late-80s/early-90s). Jim Cuddy lives a few kilometers from me.

I packed a bag of outdoor running clothes without checking the weather first..... a -32C windchill with a frostbite warning issued has me thinking it will be a TM run or spin at home this evening!!

Have a great day all!

Rest day, glorious rest day...........from running at least. Otherwise I have to survive month-end madness at work, walk dog, do groceries and somehow stay awake long enough to pick Justin up from work at 10:00 pm.

Happy final Friday of January!

Haha. I heard. Axl Rose plays here next week and my friends were commenting on that.

Blue Rodeo was really good. I'd never seen them live before, and we were 8th row on the floor, so it was great! Jim Cuddy really seems to enjoy the crowd. He had that silly grin on his face a lot of the night, even when the early 20's girl jumped on stage and was bowing at his feet, and apparently groping his leg.

Apparently, that was known/planned all along since the workers at the Air Canada Centre were told ahead of time that the show wouldn't start/finish until quite late. It would have been nice if they had told the audience, though!

-19c/-33windchill at 10:00am... don't know what it was at 6:30am when I was on the bike. Most of the commute was into the wind & I was sweating it out...

Don't forget the additional wind-chill from travelling at 20+kph into a headwind!

quite mild here - I think it's only -8 or so, thus not too frigid!

not much on tap today - meeting the DH for a swim after work at 4pm and then pack up and hit the road to Fernie - first road trip for Barkley and Mikka - I think we had it pretty easy with just Nala all those years - this should prove to be interesting!

Rest day and traveling to Vancouver with the kids and dog. So this is in fact not restful at all. Then to squeeze in a run in between shopping for new doors, new lights, tile and Ikea. Should be a crazy weekend.

Woke up pleasantly surprised that I can walk this morning. Was a little nervous about it after last night's punishment on the hills. But things feel ok.

Strength and stretch today. Trying to book an ART appointment for sometime as well.

90 minute spin done on the trainer this morning before work. Glad I got it out of the way, as Friday evenings tend to be a little busy and it would have been a pain to fit it in.

Have a great Friday everyone,

5 miles done!

both injuries felt ok today and I wasn't favouring the ankle as much, so that's good. Legs felt tired... maybe from the increase of running and/or the (half) blood donation.
