Still getting my runs in for Boston! Missed my LSD yesterday so I did it today - 20 kms at 5:20 per km - feeling fine, except for being hungry all the time!

Now back to writing report cards!

I won't call it a long long run until I'm doing 20 miles :shifty:

No 8km later. Off for another week now.. My groin hurts a lot, and according to the internet, it is a grade 2 groin strain. I don't even think its worth doing track this year..

The lady didn't even stop. I checked myself over and trundled on.
My knee is scraped and the palms of my hands are a bit rough but other than that everything seems okay. I am icing my knee now and will apply some Aloe Vera in a few moments.

 Did she not notice she had hit you? Glad that you were able to "bounce" back!

Did you tr@sh her house ?? :shifty:

Thanks everyone. I am not sure she even knew that she hit me. It was a longish driveway and she had a clear view to the left so could see that no traffic was coming and just accelerated out of the driveway and turned right. Because of the bushes I didn't see her and she obviously didn't see me. I almost did an acrobatic move to avoid her , but "being of a certain age", I guess my reflexes aren't as good as they once were. She should have heard the bump although it was a glancing blow and my running pants are scraped a bit but didn't tear.
I feel pretty good now and will go out for a short, slow run tomorrow to assess the knee.

Have a good evening everyone!

Run commute done. Nice weather here finally, but the temp still has a "-" in front of it unfortunately.

13k done today. Ran on a road I haven't run on since high school (literally half a lifetime ago). The one hill brought back memories of chasing a very cute blonde up and down it in cross country practice (who later became my girlfriend, but our relationship ended in a manner worthy of a country song), and the other hill brought back memories of launching my parents' car off it a week after getting my license (and totalling it). All in all a good run. :D
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Did my LSD of 20km today. Started yesterday with my running buddy but her injuries made us head home after 2 kms. Gorgeous day for 20km though - even if I had to run be myself!!

Turns out today's going to be a rest day. I wasn't sure, at first. But, apparently, I'll be wandering the streets this evening.

8km done here too! My back held up- the joint was a bit irritated, but the muscles didn't spasm and it never really got painful like it did last week. I did 8km in just under 43 minutes and the pace felt really comfortable.

25 minutes elliptical + 10K recovery run + 20 minutes stretching
My legs, hips, and back feel ten times better now.
I'm ready to join the circus or at least get in a solid tempo tomorrow.

6.2mi in 60:30 on the treadmill at the gym this morning. Saw Alex Bilodeau's winning run many, many times.

3km on the treadmill in 18:50
Perhaps I was still fatigued from ball hockey yesterday, perhaps it was the struggle against the wind this morning on the commute to work, but whatever, the legs were tired & could go no more.... tonight.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

8km done, through Beacon Hill Park, along Dallas road, and all around the harbour. My friend wasn't feeling tonight so we took a few walk-breaks, and finished in around 56 minutes.
