Good luck in Switzerland casual-runner!!
We're talking Ironman!
Haven't heard from you in a couple weeks Wesley, but I see that you are already in Zurich. Have a great day on Sunday! Hope the ribs are feeling better.

next up:
This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day
So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day
This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again

Come into the light of one fine day

Re: Good luck in Switzerland casual-runner!!
Thank You all. I was thinking about you all especially Mark, I now have total understanding how fantastic result he produced, I would like to see him doing it now with all improved cycling and running results!
Just a short update.
I was planning to execute my race inspired by article of Rich Strauss, Here is a relevant quote:
"The Ironman run course is littered with fit dudes walking and talking about what a great bike split they had. Don't join them."
I was the dude who has the great bike in Muskoka, but I was walking a lot on the run course.
So my major goal for Switzerland was to not walk on the run and to finish below 12 hours. I failed in both instances
So I did very conservative bike ride, planning to be fresh for the run, but I killed my race starting the run to fast, at 2:30 the sun was still strong and I was exhausted by the heat of the first 10K, I managed to run for the first 21K, but on the 3rd 10K loop I had to walk a lot, I lost motivation in the fourth loop my goal on this loop (I am always finding something to aim for) was not to walk, almost managed it althought there were moments in my "run" when walkers were passing me.
The Ironman is tough sometimes I had moments when I was thinking that pushing tha pace will make it to hard to PB in my next one (Yeh, I was planning it on the course )
Overall I am very happy that I finished this one.
I will probably write a report, althought not sure if I have nice pictures due to some technical difficulties...
