Yep, freezing rain with a bit of wet snow on the ride in this morning ... Just a 30 minute stint in the Chair at the Club this morning ... maybe a resistance workout at the Club later on this afternoon, we'll see ... as, Friday's is now my rest day from running ...

None of that crap weather here. It's supposed to rain today, but the temp is high enough that it shouldn't be icy.

60 minute spin and then abs and ankle work. My legs are spent.

Insane commute!

The small roads are infernal. Glad to be here and not moving until 3 PM! Hopefully by then the weather will have improve and I'll be on my way to Halifax!

Rest day today.

Yes it is icy, saw a commuting cyclist go down hard while taking a corner this morning. He didn't appear to hit his head but his feelings were hurt!

I did a short run (2 miles in 20 min) on the treadmill, followed by my PT-prescribed stretches. My back was really sore, which is the reason why my run was only 20 minutes long. :( I've signed up to attend Bikram Yoga after work(meaning: if I don't go, I still get charged for the class). I'm hoping for a little redemption from Monday's class.

TM runs yesterday and today - 5.17 and 6.21 miles respectively. Friday mornings are almost always a race pace/tempo run and I just love ending the week like that! Rest day planned for tomorrow and then a long run on Sunday, although still not sure about the distance. It's so great to just make it up as I go along and not be thinking about a training plan - time enough for that in January.

Have a great weekend - not sure if anyone is racing but good luck to those who are!

It's my last day of work before 3 weeks of vacation!! It's my last day of work before 3 weeks of vacation!! It's my last day of work before 3 weeks of vacation!!

Did I mention that it's my last day of work before 3 weeks of vacation??

heh.

roads aren't icy here - just wet and sloppy - or as my husband likes to call them, 'greasy'.

anyway - had a solid couple of workouts last night at the Y - did a 3500m swim in 1:20 - felt great. Then got on the treadmill and did 5.1k in 30min doing 3x1km sets at 5:15min/km.

today's a rest day. oh and it's my last day of work before 3 weeks of vacation!!

Was supposed to run at noon but forgot my stuff at home. Doh! Will try to squeeze in a run after work and before heading out to watch the daughter's play.

getting ready to head out for a long run. I'm feeling lazy today so will likely do it on pavement instead of trails. :P

So jealous Carla!! That sounds like a killer workout last night.

2100m swim done this morning early, had to really convince myself to get out of bed, but glad that I did!

On Wednesday I did my usual weights and cardio class. We used "gliders" at the end of the class which works your core. OMG - my abs feel like someone beat me up!

Have a good one maniacs!

Yes, hockey rink roads today. It's a rest day for me, but if it weren't, I'd have to break out my studs again. Ugh.

And you are going somewhere warm....just to relax and do a little swimming, biking & running by the beach.

My same weekend trifecta...soccer tonight, run tomorrow morning & soccer tomorrow night. And coaching soccer on Sunday. Seems to be a theme in there.....

:(

Hopped on the TM at lunch and ran easy: 10 min @ 6.6 mph, 10 min @ 6.7 mph, 10 min @ 6.8 mph, 5 min @ 6.9 mph, 2 min walking cool-down. 6.5 km in 37 minutes, 5:42/km.

And, unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as KBO. :(

my laziness backfired... sidewalks were ok closer to home, but the further I got into my run the worse they were... mud, slush, ice, snow... no traction whatsoever on the uphills. Then when I was about 11 miles in it started raining and I was getting cold. But it's done, 18 miles, and now I'm going to have some grilled cheese! :)
