Then got some really good news on major project (an impending approval  ), plus total vindication on something I almost lost my job over a month ago! I think I'm going to get a lottery ticket on the way home!!

Life is good!!

Definately go buy that lottery ticket!

6.8k in the rain after work this afternoon. A little slippery in spots, mostly on the TCT, but otherwise not bad.

You're telling me! I should have been wearing rain gear to walk to and from the skytrain this morning. Planning on running home from work-- I better run fast!

Ugh- I don't enjoy running in cold rain like this. But I followed through with my run-commute plan (8.3 wet cold kilometres in 47 min. Blech. I did some fast portions and hill surges to make it more "fun."

Good job getting it done in the cold and rain.

After being away last week, this week is back to biking to work - yay! This morning was 22.4km ride on some icy / snowy trails. The snow tires with the studs did their job this morning. This evening was a 20-ish km ride on the roads in the dark and rain. My first time taking this route. Although a bit of traffic it was pretty uneventful. Was to go to the weekly group trail run but got home late so took a pass on it and will enjoy some time in our hot tub this evening instead.

I've decided not to run tonight, for this same reason. After walking home from work in the dark and rain, then walking the puppy in the dark and rain, I can't bear the thought of going back out there again.

I hate winter. It's not even the rain, just the stupid darkness. I want light! :(

I'll make tomorrow's run longer instead. That's easier than going out on both days.

+1! and running in dark I constantly worry about potential danger, had bad experiences with unleash dogs and thugs... :(

but tonight's temperature and light rain in Toronto is the type of weather that I PB in 5k and 10k, I did my first workout by following Jack Daniel's training plan for 5k-15k, felt great!

And today with the rain and heavy cloud cover it felt even worse- it never really got light out.

We need a solstice party!!

Did I mention how much I loath the treadmill.........

A much needed day of rest - it was TERRIFIC to not have to brave the weather. :D

Vacation over - 6 km run in the dark but at least the rain stopped for us.

Run was better than I expected after two weeks of little - no running and three days of recovering from a cold. Hope the weather is decent on the weekend so can enjoy running during daylight.

This evening, I ... get this... I went to a spin class! Yup. First time.

An hour of spinning (well, a bit less, because the teacher was late),then an hour yoga class.

I'm already feeling it (feels good) and expect pain for the next two days. I'm good with that.
