Run for your lives!!

Postby QuickChick » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:11 am

Check out this race- a friend down in DC was telling me about it. It's a 5K race in Baltimore, with obstacles a la Warrior Dash, BUT zombies chase you and you have to make it to the finish without losing all the "health flags" you are given (or your brain being eaten)!! There are multiple routes to the finish. I wish they had something like that here! Manhunt for grownups!

That's great.

I don't think we have anything like that here. BUT we are doing the zombie walk this weekend in van... should be a hoot!

That sounds like a lot of fun, though I imagine that, as in the movies, I'd be one of the first to be et. :D

When you do get 'et', do you get a chance to turn into a zombie yourself?

FishPants better not read this thread. (I think she's the one afraid of zombies)

Yes - which is who I thought of when I heard about this one.

A friend is doing it...

Well, if you are the race organiser I guess you would think your race is the best! Would be better to declare that instead of just extolling how wonderful it is.

OMG that looks like fun! There's one in Pittsburgh next year, it's not THAT far away from Ottawa. Or Boston :)

There's a Toronto date for this event!!! Sept 22 at Burl's Creek Park. I totally want to do it and hope I can convince some people to come with me. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun on my own. I know Pat will go but I want to get a group together! If anyone is into it, holla... This is definitely more of an event than a race, but it looks like a BLAST. Not so much of a "grrrr let's see how tough you are as you run through live wires" as a "run like an idiot, get dirty and laugh your ass off" event.
