Lovely way to bond as a family and deal with loss and sorrow.
Thinking of you, and knowing there are no words that can take away what you must feel.

You've found a wonderful way to honor Porter's spirit, feeling the loss, yet celebrating his life. My thoughts have often been with you and your family throughout this past year.

Deanna-
I think about you and Porter and your family a lot. I can only imagine how difficult this year has been for you all. I know that one of the hard parts about moving on is letting yourself be happy again-- it doesn't feel right, but you know you must. I'm so glad that you are learning to let yourself enjoy life while still cherishing his memory.
Porter will always be with you in his own way.
Hugs to you...

I have thought of you alot this year. I cannot know your pain but you seem to have tremdous strength and a solid family. I may not comment but when I see you post it makes me happy to see you still here and still running.

Learning to ski is a wonderful adventure that Porter would be proud of I am sure. The beauty of skiing is when you are at the top of the hill or moutain you can be just that much closer to your angel in the sky.

I wish you and your family well.

I don't know how I missed this, so I'm a little late.

Porter has been in my thoughts. I'm sure he was beaming with pride as he watched his family learn to ski - what a wonderful tribute to him!

Will you continue skiing, do you think?

Thanks everyone. Today would have been his 10th birthday, so that's really tough, but we're getting better, day by day.

This year, we again went skiing as a family, and took another family photo on that day. It may become a tradition.

I'm going to admit that I didn't see the date - but, I couldn't help but think that it seemed like it had been more than a year, which did confuse me....but, I wasn't going to question it, I guess!

I'm sorry for not noticing it.

I missed this post last year. By looking at your beautiful, smiling avatar, I would have no idea the pain you must have been through. I'm glad you've found a way as a family to move on. Thinking of you as I'm sure the Birthday's and anniversaries are more difficult.
