Friday the 13th!

Postby trixiee » Fri Apr 13, 2012 5:48 am

Out run that black cat before it crosses the road in front of you!

It's going to be a great day in these parts, weather-wise, preceding 4 or 5 days of rain, so perhaps I'll do my Sunday long bike ride today...

Have a lucky day!

Safe travels to everyone heading to Boston!

Rest day for me, but it's going to be a lovely day, so I might just walk home from work.

A short 5km progression. Calf is ok; the knot is ok. The deep tissue is really sore from being ground to a pulp with ART though.

Safe travels to those Boston bound.

Rest day today but it will be a busy, busy day. Another plane coming in, mass in briefing for new arrivals who came in over the past couple of days. Today starts one of our twice yearly resupply missions - two weeks of constant flights in and out and a whole whack more people on Station.

I think that I am going to go hide in my room when today is done!

hope that our flights tomorrow aren't affected by Air Canada pilot job action.

Work is really crazy right now - didn't leave the office until 6:45pm last night - total snow storm going on here, but I wanted to get my run in (although i had packed clothes that were for a much warmer temp - capris, one ls, vest). I then realized I had worn my muskoka 70.3 jacket, so threw that on and i had a pair of gloves, and I ventured out. It was very wet and sloppy, but I'm glad I got it done. 7k in 40min.

So today is essentially rest day with just some core work planned for later. I would have done a spin, but my bike is going in for a total tune up while we're out of town, so dave is dropping it off during the day. Might do a short run in the evening. Probably not though.

I have a 15k or so run planned. I might do some tempo work but my right AT is a little tender after the ride yesterday - if it doesn't loosen up during the early part of the run I'll just keep the pace easy all the way.

Did a GREAT 8 with crash followed by another 5er with my ten year old.... he took another two minutes off his last time! He is either going to make me a faster runner, or he is going to kill me. Whichever comes first.

My coworker was sick all week at work and was sneezing like crazy yesterday. I woke up feeling less than stellar today. So I went to work, got what I needed to work on, and came home to work on the couch. Resting today, hoping it's just my imagination, not an actual cold. First race of the season tomorrow, so hopefully a day of cold meds and working from home in comfy clothes will do the trick!

At my new job I get a long weekend every other weekend so I just finished a 6k run on dead legs. Getting ready for golf now.

When I was working at my old job earlier this year, I got signed up for the Sun Run so I have to arrange to get my bib today from my former workplace. I suppose I could pick it up and say hi to everyone in my golfing gear. But I won't.

If a black cat crosses my path today, I live with a white cat so it cancels everything out. :P

Safe travels, all.
