Muggy Monday

At 22C with 94% humidity it was a warm run this morning! Starting on my marathon training plan today (added a few weeks to have a long slow training plan!). I remember the first time I tried this plan, I could not get through the first speedwork session. Today I got through it no problem and was almost 2 minutes / km faster then I was two years ago when I first tried it. Could have used a sponge break part way through though

Off to clean up, client coming at 10 and then grant writing most of the day!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning!

Gym day!

8K recovery followed by lots of stretching/core/upper body work. A few squats for good measure.

I've got the day off work today- my brother (who lives in Victoria) is home for a few days, so I booked the day off to hang out with him. Plan is to spend a few hours kayaking around Brighton Bay.

Started the morning with a bit of a sleep-in, and then a run on trails. 11K done this morning.

Morning, rest day of the rush fit video depends if we have time after going to the notary. We’re officially becoming home owners tonight!! :D Too bad we’re still condo owners… :? sometimes things just don’t go the way you have planned. Still a joyful day.

Good morning! Going to be a muggy Monday in the GTA for sure. It was like that yesterday when I did my 20 km run, was very glad to have that done with. And I was also very glad to have bought a couple of sleeveless/tank style tops at the Ottawa expo - my running wardrobe was sorely lacking in that area and yesterday was definitely too warm for even short sleeves.

Gym day today - 30 minutes on elliptical then some upper body weights and ab exercises. A run planned for tomorrow morning and then in the afternoon I am off to visit my family in BC! Ed is staying home to look after the house and the cats :) I know this is a long shot because I can't recall any Maniacs noting that they're in the area, but I'll be in Chilliwack from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning, available to run Saturday or Sunday. PM me!

Have a great day, everyone - stay cool and hydrated.

Rest day today after my biggest week ever (67km). Cutback week this week, and a 10km race on Sunday.

My father insisted that I have a consult with a cardiologist before he'd give his blessing to my doing the NYC marathon -- heart disease runs in my family, and he read about the woman in London who passed away. So....Stress test today!

I'm going to wait to see what that entails before deciding if I'm going to run.

Can't believe I'm here at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and forgot my running gear! Oh well, took a nice relaxed walk through the trails here while DH is at his meetings. It's beautiful here :)

My only exercise this weekend involved walking from the water at the cottage to the kitchen for scotch. Repeat x 20.

Running the stairs behind Parliament at lunch today and signed up for the Army half in September! That means half in September and my first full in August. It'll be a big summer of training and healthy living for me!

I think today will be a rest day, to recover my poor, abused knees. If I do get really antsy, I'll just go to the gym tonight.

Besides, it's rainy and grey and muggy here, though not nearly as muggy as I hear it is in Ontario!

I woke up when my alarm went off this morning, then decided to make it a rest day & went back to sleep for another 1 1/2 hours! I'll spend 20 min on the spin bike tonight, but no run today.

That's a very inefficient process. You should have just broight the bottle down to the water.

I'm supposed to swim tonight but a) my shoulder is sore, and b) I'm not sure of the logistics of getting to the lake since I am in Mississauga and will be done by 3PM and don't have to be in Stouffville until 6PM. I hate to go all the way home, then have to fight traffic back up the DVP. Maybe I'll go shopping to kill some time!
