Thursday @LHR

Postby Mark.AU » Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:50 am

2,200km done already; HEL-LHR. Minor panic this morning when I woke up a full hour after my alarm was *supposed* to have gone off. If would have too, if I'd turned it on. No matter, instead of a easy, relaxed morning I showered and left my apartment in 15min flat and still arrived at Helsinki airport in plenty of time.

As I type this, I'm sitting in the arrivals area at LHR waiting for Hayley's flight from YYZ to arrive, then a day and night in London before heading down the M5 to the race site tomorrow afternoon.

I also did not set my alarm but the canine backup system was functioning and got me up 10 minutes early! Easy run this morning, Warm up and 3K steady pace then cool down. Now some resistance /strength work and off to an app't in the 'big city'

Have a great day everyone!!! Hope the sun is shining where ever you are!

Track workout tonight with the clinic. But I likely will just run easy pace as I'm racing Sunday. I'll ask our track coach what he thinks.

Rest day! Cat woke me up at 4 am and I had a terrible time getting back to sleep, so I opted for rest over run.

5k easy done. There were some stairs and my knee felt a little twinge afterwards, but it all seems good.

Went out to do some hills today. It's my boss' first day back from vacation, so I needed to get out and run in the sun. I also have ultimate frisbee tonight, so I didn't do as many hills as prescribed; only about 75%. :D

Its been nine days since I ran nine K
but I ran nine K this very day!
My back didn't hurt today
no way!
All in all
the run's okay!
next up:

This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day
