Canada Day 5K in Belleville for me. It's going to be a scorcher!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Good luck, racers!

It's a scorcher here, too. I'll be going out to cheer on the Epic Dartmouth triathletes at a few points today. May wander over and see the swim finish now.

Happy Canada Day all! Good luck racers.
Will head out later with my Sunday crew. Our route selection may have been made for us, Italy plays Spain today so we probably want to stay away from Commercial Drive (little Italy)

Good luck racers!

It's the official Moving Day here in Quebec, although I'm only moving Thursday, there's lot of packing to do! Probably will run only 30 mins today and try my long run tomorrow since DH is off.

Have a good day!

I did a 4k run (using the term loosely) this morning but not early enough. It was HOT and I haven't run in a month give or take so it wasn't my best run ever. But, I'm back at it and that's good!

I decided last minute to head over to run club and see who was there. I did a very easy, very HOT 5.5k run with one of the girls. That's good enough considering I wasn't planning on running at all.

Thanks Jenn. I went big on the "goal boasting" this time and unfortunately boasted a wee too high. I never had a chance, but I didn't race too intelligently either. I'm just glad to still have the fitness that I do :) .

Puking rain here, rest day planned anyway. Headed off to see The Roots at the jazz festival later, hope the rain lets up.

10ish km race done. Times were slow and garmin said it was more than half a km long. But otherwise fun little race with a good celebration after (save on provided BBQ and a Canada Day cake). My friend Alli was fastest woman, which isn't a surprise but fun to see anyway! :) my time was crappy but that is to be expected given my current fitness (or lack thereof!).

Attempted to do my planned run workout way too late today, which meant that it got cut short due to overheating. Came home and saw that the humidex was 36 - guess that I should have checked that before I left

I'll give it a go again tomorrow morning.

Good racing everyone! No Canada Race for me. Instead, marathon training has officially begun! I decided to run a different route today and did 22k along the Countryside.

I got up and it was nice and sunny. We headed out on our run, and it started to cloud. And right around 33% of the way through, the skies opened up. 16km ended in rain, splashing, and thankfully the applause of the waiting Running Room group. Thanks, everyone!
