Since the pain has reared its ugly head and gotten progressively worse after each of the last 3 soccer games played on cement-like fields...I'm going with a stress fracture and not bone cancer of really bad arthritis. Will see the doc next week when she gets the official results. 6-7 weeks of no running/soccer puts paid to Wineglass and New York although I might be able to jog the 5K at the Army Run. This has been a fun 12 months!!
Anyone have a second hand "fracture boot"?

A "hot spot" on a bone scan can also be inflammation of the soft tissue that attaches to the bone. Do you know if it's actually a fracture?

Not that it makes that much difference for the healing cycle. :?

I feel your pain, Nick. Hopefully we'll get back on track soon.

I don't think it's going to cool off much around here tonight--I think the overnight low is 22 or something--and by then, it'll be tomorrow!

Swam three laps at Cherry Beach. I think each lap is about 550-600m, depending on whether you took the straightest route or not. My laps were between 6:00-6:50, depending on which direction I was swimming in (I was always slower swimming west than east).

And now I am consuming a beer! :D Happy weekend, everyone!

Nick - yeah that sucks. Truly hope it heals miraculously fast!

Rest day for me. Felt better yesterday and had a great time on the photo shoot with Miss Hannah but guess I pushed it a bit much as the cold was back with a vengeance today. If I am going to get my long run in it has to be tomorrow. I am feeling somewhat better this evening and had a good supper so I put the water in the bottles and the bottles in the fridge but I'm thinking it may be a short-long run or even a walk tomorrow :( ... hoping this cold goes away fast faster fastest! I hate all colds but summer colds are the worst!
