Only one kid home today, so it's a stroller day for me! 7k for sure, we'll see after that!

+1 from here too...DLS wrote:Oh, Ceileigh, I'm so sorry. That's an overwhelming set of events.

Short 4Kish run today ending at my ART where she did a quick hip adjustment for me then 3K home. Lots going on in the next few days. My mom fell last night and lay beside her bed for 2 hours before she was able to get up and get into bed. She is ok, just bruised and stubborn. She was right beside the phone and lives with my aunt and refused to call out for help! I am going today to get her the bars that go under the mattress so she has something to hang on to she gets up out of bed. It is a little help. She should use a cane or walker and refuses. It worries me.
Then my friend's husband died yesterday at the age of 54 from arthritis. He had a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis which attacked his ability to breath and his organs. Not sure when or if there will be a memorial but I hope to go if I can. Then my other friends ex husbands wife passed yesterday as well. She was one of the people I was visiting at our hospice through our therapy dog program and only in her 60's. Then my sister in law's mother passed early this morning. She was 92 and her death was not unexpected. She has been ill for a few weeks. They say deaths come in 3's ... in this case ...
My sister in law's mother lived in the same city as me but my brother and his family are all out of town so I will have family staying with me for the funeral, probably over the Thanksgiving weekend. Plans are not finished as of yet. Saturday is also the 22nd anniversary of my father's death - he also died on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. It could be an emotional weekend and I admit I am already thinking of where / how I get in my long run(and feel a bit guilty about it) but ... things will figure themselves out as the week goes along. For now trying to get as much work done as possible so I can clear out some time later in the week.
Have a good day everyone.
