Rest today... hopefully tomorrow I can run again :D

A relaxing 11k around the neighborhood, just before the plows visited and salted the sidewalks/roads.

edit: got a little excited when the sun came out and I had back to back meetings canceled so doubled up with another 10 for an even 21 today.

If this is Tuesday, I must be running... Up and out early for the usual Tuesday morning run. This is the first morning since last winter that the temperature was at or below freezing and I almost overdressed; remembered in time that I really didn't need long sleeves as the first layer. However, I did need my warmer gloves and even then my hands were cold(ish) for the first 15 minutes or so. Hope they're just acclimatizing to the temperature change, because I'm sure those same gloves seemed warmer back when it was colder... Anyway, nice 13 km in almost no wind. Great way to start the day :)

6km this morning, legs still feeling kind of blah. Not sure why, but I think a month of 'run what I feel like' in December will be a good thing.

Tempoish run this morning on the TM.

2K w/u @ 6-6.5 mph, then 8K varying from 6.8-7.8 mph, then 2K c/d @ 6.0-6.6 mph. Kinda suprised myself.

12k in 1:05:30 total.

I am going to take advantage of the mild -6C today and run 11km at lunch. Tomorrow temps are dropping into the -27C region, brrr. Good bootcamp class last night - I must have done about 100 burpees, phew.

Have a wonderful day!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Easy 5 km with some accelerations right @end. -14C/-18WC, partly cloudy. Streets &sidewalks in reasonably good shape after weekend snowfall: tracks packed down for most part, even though plows haven't been out. Decent winter morning run. Yoga tonight, hopefully.

Took the car in to get the snow tires put on. Yes, I have snow tires in Victoria and a 4 wheel drive. Now it is time to eat then a run on the trails with the doggie.

Just did some weight training today. Started having pain in my right foot/heel on sunday. Not sure what it's from. Ran Saturday with no issues, walked all day Saturday, even Sunday morning then all of a sudden it hurt to put pressure on my foot :( Hope it goes away soon. Have one last race to run this year - the Egg Nog Jog.

Gorgeous evening, dry and chilly. Did our hilly 6km route, my calves were screaming (quietly) by the top of the hill but overall the run felt pretty good.
