No spinning for me, but I did swim for 1.5 hours this a.m. -- legs are like jelly, and the shoulders worked hard too!! Nice time to hit the kitchen for some great cooking!!

5K warmup, then 10K with a great group at the Runningroom. Amazing, because I was REALLY unmotivated this morning. Somehow those always turn out to be the best runs.

Kind of drizzly, but not too cold!

Just getting ready to head out for our annual Christmas waffle run. If tradition stands, I will have a moderately crappy run and great waffles. Will do somewhere between 7 - 9 km depending on how crappy it feels. Will be great to see everyone after :)

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

10.5k in 56min.

It wasn`t too cold but for the wind near the open farm fields.

Crazy when -15 with the wind isn`t too cold...its actually freezing out but worse near fields.

Cloudy -6 in Winnipeg feels nice as there is very little wind. Ran 8K and saw lots of families out with toboggans near the river bank.

13km felt pretty good and there was no rain. My legs were strong but I feel like I have a poor cardio base right now.

I decided to switch my long run to tomorrow and just did a steady 10k today. There was some freezing rain this am, so I had a late start, PLUS it will be way easier on my mom when 2 of the 4 are at school!

Plan called for 8 km. But I was short on mileage this week, so decided to go for 9 km. Wanted to see how runnable trail loop was along Red River. Turned out to be quite reasonable, given snow lately. Nice quiet winter trail run.
Plan for 2016:
Jun 25: St. Malo Triathlon - Sprint - done
Jul 16: Morden Triathlon - Sprint - done

Combination of trails behind Normand Park and Van Hull Estates that links to Henteleff Park trail, all in St. Vital. Used paved trail along the lakes to get there, then South St. Vital trail to get back.
