Tired Tuesday?

Postby Jogger Barbie » Tue Jan 08, 2013 11:08 am

Did everyone sleep in this morning?!?!? I've been crazy busy at work this morning, and this is my first chance to check the daily thread, and there isn't one! So I guess it's my turn to start it. Had a nice 15 km run in the early morning air, although the wind was a little cold when we were running straight into it. A little slower pace than usual since there were occasional patches of frozen snow and ice to get past and we were being pretty cautious.

Have a good day :)

Morning JB! Yeah it is a bit quiet here this morning.

13K with 7K @ tempo pace on the TM this morning. Very good to be getting the odd tempo in these days.

Day off today (Jan/Feb are thin months at work), so went out mid-morning for 6k, somewhere in between 'easy' and 'tempo'. Thinking again about possibly signing up for the Uxbridge half, which would mean I'd better start making Tuesdays into hill days soon!

25 minutes on the skating oval and 20 minutes walk. I did 20 minutes of yoga before work. Maybe a 20 minute run tonight, too?

For the next three months each Tuesday I will be going to Spin Kinesis class. 45 minutes of kinesis followed by 45 minutes of spin. Should be interesting and challenging!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

5 km on the TM for me this morning with some intervals. Trying to fit in a bit of quality into these TM runs to make up for the lack of time!

Same question!

It's a double work-out day for me, I did tae-box at lunchtime and will be doing a cardio tonus class tonight. I'm taking classes near my house and it's my coach teaching them too :D Not sure I'll always double on Tuesdays but I took it to add a Thursday cardio class to my routine.

I did intervals on the hotel treadmill this morning- first speedwork since the Philly Marathon- felt great.

Almost 5k at SSR (Slippery, snowy road) pace. First real run outdoors of the new year. Felt great!

Dog walking tonight with the BCSPCA. So that will be 2 hours of puppy love :D I predict that my legs will once again not be on speaking terms with me. I survived last nights spin class but went to bed with gel ice packs on my legs. Stairs are still a bit iffy  For the record, that's 2 spin classes in 3 days. I'm proud o' me.

5 miles done in chilly, windy rain that is threatening to turn to snow.

Spending the rest of the evening with my book and some hot chocolate. :)

5 km this morning. Yoga this evening, first one in 3 weeks. Now I'm sore and tired and using the heck out of our new reclining sofa, sipping hot tea and thinking how nice a cookie would be. :D

None of the crew were up for a run on a dark and rainy night so I took it to the treadmill. 5km with some "hills" and speed intervals. I didn't hate it :)

Did a local loop that's just under 10k and has a nice, big, long 4km hill. (4km) It was, of course, dark, wet, and cold, with some insane puddles, and we saw just one person on that whole 4km section. But, we chatted a lot and I ran up the whole hill so... It was a great run.
