Good (I hope!) Friday

Postby ratherawkward » Fri Mar 29, 2013 6:25 am

This weekend required a bit of schedule rearranging (Easter Bunny and all), so I've shifted my long run to today. I usually take a rest day before the long run, which is not the case here, so I'm going to take it super-easy and hope for the best... Theoretically 16km is the plan.
PR's so far: 5K 27:15, 10K 55:25, 21.1K 2:10:53, 42.2K 5:21:27
Upcoming: Toronto Women's 5k in May, STWM Half in October

Sunny 11K group run leading up to a potluck brunch. My dark chocolate and granadilla sauce was slightly more popular than the unicorn meat.

16k done with a slooow start (even by my standards) - 3:30 negative split. Beautiful morning to be out!

Followed it up with the first ice cream cone of the season, since my neighbour reopened her shop today. :D

Rest and errand day today. I made Rice Krispies hidden surprise eggs for the Bunny to deliver. Have a good weekend, all you Maniacs.

Went for a short 7k recovery run from ATB. I'm on my last day of my 3 day Raw Raw Cleanse as well. Didn't want to push my luck by going any further and trashing my legs and running out of steam. I'll be hungry for Easter dinner on Sunday, that's a given!
Happy Easter everyone!!

9-ish km checking out a certain area with a friend, to take the beginners' group on Sunday. Absolutely gorgeous day!

Now wolfing down some cobs raisin bread (yum!) before heading into the city to meet some friends for dinner. I am really looking forward to my long run tomorrow in this weather! It's so awesome!

Great run this afternoon- went to the Brighton Wilderness Reserve with a buddy. If you're driving down the 401, you can see some of the trails as you're going between Brighton and the rest stops west of Wooler Rd. We did 15K of meandering & interconnecting trails- knee deep snow, ankle deep puddles and slush, shoe sucking mud- it was absolutely perfect!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.
