Good morning and welcome to April :)

It was so wonderful to have a three-day weekend. I started it by working ridiculously late on Thursday night, but then went to a great party that lasted into the wee hours of the morning, and it was a perfect release from the weeks of work stress. Slept in a little on Friday and then went to an antique mall in Cambridge and scored a couple of very good finds on the vintage dishes that I collect. Beautiful, warm, sunny day. Saturday was another beautiful day and I ran 13 km. Sunday was cooler, but except for some wind heading north on the Spit, pretty much my favorite running conditions. I did 25 km with my running buddy and 7 km on my own. That's the last long run before Boston.

Then this morning was 20 minutes on the elliptical followed by upper body weights and ab/glute work. Followed by a reluctant return to work...

Have a good day, everyone, especially all of you who have the day off :)

50min spin this morning. Seemed hard today - probably because of my chocolate-loading yesterday
Nice to have one more day off. will be spending it with my daughter doing some fun shopping.

Gentle 10K on trails and then a 15 minute walk back home for fear that my calf was on its way to a strain. I think I may have caught it just in time.

Took it easy this weekend as my left shoulder is all spasmed up and it hurts to move. Friday I took the dogs for a 8km walk, Saturday I managed a swim of 2500m. Front crawl did not hurt but everything else did. Sunday pain was worse so I stretched and rolled and took the dogs for another 8km walk. Today it feels a bit better and am going to get outside to run. Hoping it is just a muscle spasm!

Have a great day maniacs :)

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Just a quick 4km today to test out new shoes. Clearly I'm still more tired from my late night out Saturday than I thought.

Nice run this afternoon- headed up to the local conservation in town for some trails with a friend. 12.6K, with a nice mix of slick ice (with some fresh snow on top to make it extra slippery) and deep, sticky mud. Not a bad way to spend a long weekend Monday!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.
