One week Monday

Postby fingerboy » Mon Apr 22, 2013 7:00 am

Phew, got out at 5:30 from work last night to have one normal like day to allow me to test my legs again - and I can run! 9.1km in 39:30

I can't believe it's been a week since the marathon! feels like ages.

Yes, it was quite a week!

This morning was 8K recovery on the TM - a bit tired at that, but I managed to get some upper body/core work in as well.

Have a great day!

A lot happened in a week that's for sure!

Rest day for me. Wee bit of shin splints from my adventure yesterday!

5km with the puppy before breakfast. Have been burning the candle at both ends lately... this was my first run in a week. :/ But I have most of this week off of work so I should be able get more running in (still have a TON to do at home though! :).

Taking an actual rest day today. I may walk home from work, but I don't think so. Just a leisurely walk to do errands at lunch.

Unplanned rest morning today - just didn't feel like getting up and gave into the feeling. Two belly dance classes on the schedule for tonight will ensure that I get a little exercise. :) Have a great day, everyone.

8.5km with 7 km at tempo this morning on the TM. Would much rather have been outside in the sunshine, but thankful for my TM when DH is away!

Laundry mountain climbing and a trip to the gym to pick heavy things up and put them down, repeatedly.

My calves were sore when I woke up. Now my quads are sore. I might head out on my bike for a ride later as long as it isn't too windy.

Morning! This evening my registered 75 min spin class. Will get to the gym 45 mins early to do some strength and core work.

Boston tribute run in the park with about a thousand others, many sporting jackets, shirts, and hats from the last decade of the race. 30 minutes plus before & after junk miles for a total of 14K.

Lesley, that's the hallmark of a good Yonge St 10K/Sporting Life 10K... that course is a leg killer if you run it hard! Enjoy the pain if you can and know it means you ran hard. :)

I have been a lazy, lazy woman the last few days! I haven't run since THURSDAY... life (and the weather!) has just been getting in the way. Must... go... out... tonight! It's actually nice out, so that will help. I'm really tired, but 5K is do-able... getting off couch... ugghhhh....

It was windy, so I compromised and hopped on my commuter bike and rode over to the LCBO to get some wine for my stew. I don't consider that a workout, but it's better than driving! ;)

5km done... Slowly but surely! It WAS windy... and kind of cold. Better than the weekend though, well at least where I was.
