Missing Monday?

Postby kat00_ca » Mon Jun 03, 2013 8:12 am

Everyone must be wiped from their races this past weekend as this is a rather late posting!

Completed my first 5k race in a few years with my SO who ran in his very first road race yesterday morning. The rain held off long enough for us to finish and we finished strong. 31.38min for both of us. A very good time since we started the C25K race 7 weeks ago! Legs are feeling a bit dead and slightly sore from yesterday that also included a bike ride last night.

Today is clearly a rest day, running-wise but playing ball tonight in the cool weather. Happy Monday, all!

Very slow 10K this morning- had very little energy.

Headed down to Presqu'ile Park, nice little jaunt on the beach too.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Good Monday morning! 30 minutes on the elliptical for me followed by core work. Yesterday was a 16 km run. It feels good to be getting back into the morning routine although I would have loved another long weekend.

Busy busy day so that's all I've got.

Gorgeous day out there- I almost want to ride but I'm mostly resting today- swim class tonight.

It's supposed to be nice tomorrow too so I'll get out on my bike then.

Another rainy day here. It is supposed to clear up by tomorrow so I can finally get my bike out and go :) Tonight strength, core and 75 min registered spin class on tap. Have a great day maniacs!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Finally bit the bullet today and joined our local yoga studio. I signed up for sessions on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday. So, by Sunday afternoon I could be passed out, getting the hang of things or stuck like a pretzel in the corner of the studio. Or, possibly, all three....

Just a really easy 6K for me in the greenbelt today. I'm still fighting a bit of a chest cold so my breathing wasn't all that great, but it did feel good to get the legs going.

Wardrobe fail -- didn't bring anything warm enough for this evening's ride -- so I came home instead, and waiting for hubby, and we're going to cycle together -- so this is actually a win, not a fail! :D

A sluggish 4.5k today. I think I did too much cross-training in the garden yesterday!

10 miles slow run tonight. Husband joined me at mile 4, pace slowed a fair amount since we were busy chatting- but it was kind of like a date so it was really nice all the same!
