Craziness.
Especially crazy thinking that someone running a long distance relay race is carrying anything of value...!

I would have given them my smelly running shoes! But most non-runners are pretty stupid if they think robbing a person that is running is a good idea. I don't think I ever carry money when running. :)

No, but many runners carry cell phones or other electronic devices that have value.

I agree with you. But teenaged criminals are not particularly known for their critical thinking and their decision making skills.

Apparently runners were taken off course for a time in Oakville and told it was because of coyotes
