Fast Friday

Postby Jogger Barbie » Fri Jun 28, 2013 8:24 am

At least I'm hoping that it goes by fast, since it's the Friday before a long weekend!

Started the day with a 9.5 km run in the light rain, most of it at tempo pace. So I felt fast. :)

Have a good day and wonderful weekend, everyone!

Got my long run in this morning because scheduling stuff means it won't happen over the weekend. 12 km done...started clear, then drizzle, then rain, then pouring! I was soaked when I got home. C asked "Mama have a lot of rain?".

The weather finally cleared so I was able to bike commute this morning (the long way around) - 19k this morning. Will do something similar on the way home.

Really pouring rain here in Sherbrooke. Today is just staying loose and hydrating, and picking up my race kit for another stab at a 10k race tomorrow. It will be my first in over a year, and my third one overall. Let's hope the third time's a charm! Have a good long weekend, all you Maniacs!

I really wanted to head up to Gatineau Park this morning, but it was POURING rain and I didn't feel like getting soaked. As a compromise, I threw on my headphones, put on some Podcasts and hit the TM for 10K.

Going to a hot one over here in the West! Heading out at lunch for just under 11km in the heat.

Happy Friday!

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

9K bike commute each way. I'm not actually working now but I had to go for a meeting so it was a good way to test out the commute. I've run it before when I was working at this location before, but I haven't been there for about three years. I will be back in September. :)

When I got home I ran 6K.

I missed the heavy rain. I had a nice easy run with BumbleG in light rain/drizzle.

6 more km in stinking hot sunshine. First run down by the river since the flood - holy smokes! There have been a few changes... Like fewer trees, some missing pathway, and lots more water!

It looks like the floodgates have opened at McMahon Stadium tonight.

It was a little sticky here today. 11k done.

No running today. Yoga class in the evening.
