12K with 7K @ tempo pace. Pleased with the pace, but not the lack of mojo, which had me giving up after 7. Very cool out this morning, so I had to do an extra long warm up!

Re: Hey, its Tuesday already !
It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday, because I took yesterday as a vacation day! My running buddy is out of town so instead of running outside this morning I hit the gym for speedwork/progression run on the TM. Yesterday was pretty much a rest day (a little bit of core work, some light yard work and housework) so I'm sure that's why I felt really strong and it was a great workout. Unfortunately, DH/Ed has a nasty cold and about two hours ago I started to feel a scratchy throat, clogged ears, some nasal congestion, a bit of a headache... Thinking I'll skip belly dance class tonight in favour of some concentrated rest. With my parents arriving next Wednesday and a marathon next Sunday, I will be trying everything to kill a cold before it really starts!
Sunday's run was supposed to be something between 32 and 36 km, but ended up at only 28 km. Oh well. I was definitely not feeling the love the night before or on Sunday morning. Nothing really wrong - just tired, a little crampy, stomach a little queasy, overall just blah. So I decided to run with Ed, knowing it would be slower than my usual pace but at least it would get me out there and hopefully would be good for him. About the 27 km point, which was about 1 km from our house (Ed's hamstring was hurting, so we were planning to finish the run with laps on the track near our house, so that if it got too bad he could stop and be only 300 m from home), someone had left, among a few other "free to a good home" things, a combination glass door/three drawer cabinet that was the perfect size for our basement. It was in really great condition and I knew it wouldn't be there long. So Ed stayed with it, and I ran home as fast as I could and got the car. New furniture for free is worth missing 4 km.
Have a great day, everyone - congrats to the weekend racers and happy taper vibes to the fellow taperers!

I am heading to the gym for my workout. I am going to try to go for a 8km run prior to my workout.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!
Re: Hey, its Tuesday already !
I ran 16 km this morning, and had frozen fingers for the second half. I had almost forgotten what that feels like. Guess it's time to dig out some heavier gloves.

Re: Hey, its Tuesday already !
Got in a nice n' easy 10k.
After (mostly) following a training plan all summer towards the army run, it was really relaxing to just go out and .... run. No goals, strides, intervals, fartleks, this was about enjoying the cool night air while burning some fat as a bonus side-effect. Nice.
