Happy racing!
I postponed my long run from yesterday, so I'm getting ready to head out for about 10K later this morning. Since I'm still in recovery mode, I really had no reason to run in the pouring rain yesterday.

We did Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, so I'm going to have to get out for at least 10K today, along with leaf raking.

Had to be up early to get my friends to the edge of the city so they could head back to Winnipeg. Just enjoying coffee right now and surfing RM to see how all the racers did this weekend.

A nice "chatty" 9.3 run with Kiza in Orleans. Saw Sylvie along the path and stopped for a quick hug and hello!

Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.
Re: Race Day Monday!!
Official time: 27:26.... give or take as there was not start line mat
that is pretty much about where I thought I would be based on my HR training paces. So I am just going to keep on keeping on with what I am doing until I am ready to start my official half marathon training plan in the new year.

Re: Race Day Monday!!
We took the kids to the Thanksgiving Day races in Guelph today. I ended up pacing my 9-year-old son for the 1 mile, my 4-year-old daughter for 100 m, and my 7-year-old son for 1K. I wasn't prepared to run today, but it was a lot of fun!

I was able to get out for three different walks today wrapped around a visit to Waterloo to watch part of the K-W Thanksgiving Parade and another visit from the Home Care nurse. She was pleased with the progress since last Friday.

Re: Race Day Monday!!
Happy Thanksgiving! I know that I have lots to be thankful for, and hope everyone else feels the same way.
And congrats to all the racers yesterday and today!!
It was a pretty good exercise weekend for me. Saturday was yard work, so no running but lots of time on my feet cleaning eaves troughs, sweeping up leaves, pulling dead stuff out of the garden, etc. Sunday was supposed to be a long run, but the pouring rain put paid to that idea. BTDT a week ago, and didn't need to go out and get soaked one week after a marathon. So after a lazy day, I did manage to get out for 11 km just before dinner. That was run in two 5.5 km segments - rain chased me in when I went out the first time, and I thought that would be it, but then there was another break and I hadn't changed out of my running clothes yet, so I went out and ran another 5.5 km. Today was a beautiful running day, and after sleeping in and lounging around to finish the book I was reading, DH/Ed and I went out and ran 15 km together.

Re: Race Day Monday!!
I ran about 5k tonight. My weekend was pretty decent and I enjoyed spending some time reflecting on my blessings.
My new shoes felt good to run in.

Re: Race Day Monday!!
Recovery day for me. I was checking out the local running store called Racquets and Jog. I got a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 16's for $60.00 US. I asked for a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 15's that was on the shelf. They didn't have my size. I think that was why I got the 16's for the same price.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!
